Most rich people get rich by having extra money made available to them by previous generations of their family.MICHHAWK wrote: ↑Tue May 24, 2022 7:48 am rich people get richer because they work harder and smarter than the rest of us. that's how they got rich. that's how they get richer. that's how they stay rich.
i'll bet very few rich people got rich spending their day on the college basketball sports chat forums gripping that the world owes you.

Sorry that I did not choose to copy and paste information from the article that I had already provided. I read the article before asking my question. In fact I had read the article before you even posted the link to it.twocoach wrote: ↑Tue May 24, 2022 8:00 amSorry that I did not choose to copy and paste information from the article that I had already provided. The fact you were unable or unwilling to discuss the reasons behind your article headline leads me to believe you read only the headline and did no critical thinking about the issues behind the headline.
But that's ok. You're free to do as you please.
I hope you have a great day!

You assume incorrectly. I just don't enjoy engaging you in conversation because it turns into nonsense like this.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue May 24, 2022 8:10 amI read the article before asking my question. Weird decision to engage then (with a smart ass response no less) because my original comment didn't quote you or directly ask you.twocoach wrote: ↑Tue May 24, 2022 8:35 amYou assume incorrectly. Silly me assuming that "What do you think the main reason for that increase in net worth is?" posted directly after an article I posted was a question directed at me. I didn't know that the word "you" only means "you" if it is in a post with a quote and that without a quote, the word "you" actually means "any of you". I'll consider adding this little tidbit to my daughter's "English is a dumb language" list.Overlander wrote: ↑Tue May 24, 2022 3:08 pmOnBasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue May 24, 2022 8:39 amWeird decision to engage then (with a smart ass response no less) because my original comment didn't quote you or directly ask you.

Do Russian oligarchs qualify as the evil rich?
I believe they do and as “alls fair in love and war”, all their riches should be confiscated and used to rebuild Ukraine. POS Putin practically begging for sanctions to be lifted and in turn he would facilitate grain shipments from Ukraine?

trying to make some Qusdahl joke about how this Cuban pharmacy is still not as affordable as pharmacy in Cuba.
Re: Evil Rich People
Qusdahl broke the Cuban pharma story like 6 months ago. But I guess we should be…cautiously optimistic?
But again, help me be optimistic here, cuz I just dunno if the solution to our healthcare system’s issues is venture capitalism.

Competition is a good thing for any type of market.

Access to a small handful of inexpensive generics isn't fixing anything. The majority of people can already access inexpensive generics.
