i haven’t read the news, so feel free to link to whichever stories show that Biden lied

i’m basing my response on illy’s earlier (false) declaration that Biden lied from the get-go

and i’m in no way giving Biden a pass. i said on page one of this thread that he fucked up and this whole mess is a clusterfuck
that says the Pentagon, not Biden

Days after the attack, President Joe Biden gave a speech in which he marked the withdrawal of American troops in Afghanistan by the August 31 deadline. He touted America's ability to strike terrorists and targets without boots on the ground. But he failed to mention the high civilian casualty rate from the August 29 drone strike, and he failed to mention that children had been killed.

'We struck ISIS-K remotely, days after they murdered 13 of our service members and dozen of innocent Afghans. And to ISIS-K, we are not done with you yet,' he said in his speech.

definitely not forthcoming with all of the information...but that’s not the same as lying

Stretch Armstrong

or Biden doesn't have control of his Pentagon??? zomg.

I understand your point....but, again the hypocrisy is strong.

TraditionKU wrote: Mon Sep 13, 2021 11:43 am i said this in the covid thread, but some of you need to look more broadly at he trump presidency and keep historical context in perspective

trump did, and continues to do, things that are so far outside if the norm for ANY president that it just seems silly to try and compare he and Biden. look no further than this past weekend for the evidence

i’d like to give at least some benefit of the doubt to proclamations that dems/progressives/liberals went too far in their condemnations, but when so many of his own party were also condemning on that same level it’s honestly difficult to say that “we” went too far

i ridiculed trump more so than any president, even dubya...but that’s because he was so much worse than any other president, imo...and i was no fan of dubya

that you somehow expect trump to be treated the same way dubya or his pops were is odd, and seems to be more indicative of a lack of perspective than and supposed mental gymnastics related to Biden
I'm not asking anyone to treat Trump better. he earned his ridicule. But, just because he is following a terrible president doesn't give Biden a pass, he is treated as a golden boy around here and its silly. he has benefited more from the Trump presidency debacle more than anything he has done of his own merit.

where is the hypocrisy? seriously, explain it

when did i blame trump for for something that was factually untrue

my outrage against trump was for things he actually did himself

who is giving him a pass?

go back and read through this thread...the only time it MIGHT be misconstrued as such is when posters where trying to make a point to the ever-arguing numbnutz

unless i’m misremembering, nobody here gave Biden a pass and thinks he did a good job with the pull-out. everyone called it a mess or clusterfuck

if i’m wrong, i’ll gladly admit it

the two of you seem to want everyone firing off a dozen posts saying the same thing over and over and over again...

Apparently by definition the guy killed wasn't an ISIS member. And neither were all the kids that we also killed.

No wonder they hate us.

You mean like the last 4 years? LOL

TDub and i got called trumpers for calling out fake outrage for the last several years even though we both were quite vocal about our dislike of trump.....now many of our predictions/assumptions/thoughts about some of you have been proven true by your silence over Biden’s mistakes and apparent incompetence. Repeatedly. And without hesitation. Like clockwork.

Multiple people have praised Biden’s handling of Afghanistan in this thread.

That's batshit crazy.

I am happy that we are out of Afghanistan. If that counts as "praise" then so be it.

For getting us out of Afghanistan. Yes, as I stated above. Oh, and here's my actual quote:

"Hats off to both Trump and Biden for shutting off this federal welfare program to defense contractors"

just in case you were worried that I wasn't treating Biden the same as Trump.

Do you have some sort of actual point that you are attempting to make? You bitched and whined that everyone bitched and whined too much for 4 years and now you're bitching and whining that people aren't bitching and whining enough.
