Fran's weirdest call last night (outside of the 3 or 4 times he tried to officiate and call his own fouls) was on Agbaji's game-tying 3.

Right after Agbaji makes the 3: "I have no idea why he didn't just go to the basket!"

I don't know, maybe because with 10 seconds left and down by 3 points it's totally normal for a player who shoots damn near 50% from 3 to shoot that shot? Just a guess.

It's that stuff that causes me to watch the game with the sound on mute. When I watched a replay of that later with the sound, on and heard that comment I thought the same thing.

If the players don't need a rest, I sure do after the last 3 days.

Remy has more variance than Juan. He can give a lot more but can (and has) kill his own team in the last five minutes. I think Bill prefers a steadier hand. It almost backfired yesterday.

Getting Remy ready just seems so crucial, and yes, I only ultimately care about how we perform in the tournament.

Ochai and Jalen both were beating their guys off the dribble last night in OT.

If last night were the norm, then yeah, of course Remy should play way more than Juan. But we have enough offensive firepower that, as of this moment, I am with Self in going the lower ceiling/higher floor route. Another night or two like last night would probably swing the odds on that.

Even if we need to rest Remy, at this point I think we’d still be better off getting some reps for Yes or Bobby.

Yeah it’s a gamble, but at this point so is Dajuan. And either way it would have the benefit of keeping Dajuan fresh if we really do want him closing.

I also thought about this last night, but you don't stop short of playing him an extra 2-4 if you think it's going to win you a big game.

I have no evidence for this other than anecdotes.

But I wonder if the other 4 guys play better offensively with DH than with Remy. Remy disrupts the flow and I think guys might stand around watching to see what he does.

I don't think in a big game like Tech, a top 5 defensive team in the country, you can bring Bobby or Yes in unless there is dire need or it's well in hand.

Yeah, the fact that he sat for SO LONG, the entirety of both OTs AND most of the end of regulation seemed weird.

But, I can't argue with the ultimate result. We got the W.

I thought we'd play a lot more 2 PG sets.

If we're gonna play 1 PG the majority of the time, I don't see the need to get Yes and Pettiford minutes.

Also, Harris isn't a gamble...you know exactly what you're gonna get with him. He's the consumate high floor/low ceiling guy.
