When you're so sick of dealing with people struggling with mental and drug issues that you would rather watch someone die than get your uniform wet, you should probably seek new employment. If you don't like blood, don't be an ER doc and if you don't like dealing with people struggling in life then don't be a cop.

Just depends on where "local" is.
