sigh…
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Hate to see him go, felt like he had a tremendous amount of potential.

I'd rather have Zuby and Ernest than Dickinson.

Seems rather shortsighted on his part but that's just my worthless opinion

Maybe.
But on the other hand, what's to stop Kansas to continue taking advantage of being able to buy the best players available in the college free agency?
If we re-up Hunter's contract next year, he'd likely be playing backup again.

i sure hope this doesn't all blow up in “our” face

Hunter goes down with an injury and we’re fucked and playing even smaller than we did last year

Same. The only thing that would make it a good decision is if Dickinson stays for 2 seasons.

My guess is KU is likely to land Mgbako which could squeeze more minutes out of the bench ( just rotating players around ).

Udeh probably found this out, saw that Self was likely going to play more mobile 4's, and there was no way he'd be getting any other minutes besides spelling Hunter "i'm so courageous" Dickinson.

Next year (24-25), Zuby/KJ/Udeh would have been the best frontcourt we've had.

This sucks.

Very very impatient. But these kids don't want to sit.

He's an All American who was in his second year and figured to be starting.
The transfer market hits ( and I guess everyone should just expect this now ) and he gets unexpectedly replaced.

If he left because KU landed some highly touted freshman big before the season started, i'd say, yea, dumb, impatient. But in this case, KU landed one of the top bigs in college basketball as an upperclassman who is getting paid a million dollars to play here. Dickinson will be sure to get plenty of minutes.
