On the plus side, Kareem Hunt was VERY encouraging. He has a chance to step in a get some important touches. He and Travis Kelce are going to be getting some serious reps for the next few months.

Brett Veach has done a spectacular job preparing for contingencies. Fortson is back, Hunt looks 22. Juju. And Ross and company ready to come up. Perine. Drafting Worthy. The defense is solid. Punter upgrade. Wentz. This team could easily have been 0-4 with the injuries and a late reacting GM

So while we wait on Rice's diagnosis ( 95% out for the season i'd say ) what of these scenarios would you rather do?
A. Sign Michael Thomas for 3.5 million soon.
B. Trade a 5th rounder for Amari Cooper now, salary just over 1.2 million, soon.
C. Wait until week 8 ( around trade deadline ) when Chiefs can afford the salary and trade a 5th rounder for DeAndre Hopkins, for 4.5 million.
D. Trade a 4th rounder for DeAndre Hopkins now and have the Titans eat some of the salary, for 4.5 million.

Receivers are money pits when they can't stay healthy. And most can't. Call up a youngster. Demote Moore. Get a value guy. I like the practice squad guys.

That 95% is feeling more like 45%. Guardedly optimistic that Rice will play again this season.
