Reminds me of the law that some guy in California proposed banning divorce when the right wingers were passing laws opposed to same gender marriage on the grounds it “violated the sanctity of marriage”.

I just enjoy someone holding up a mirror to expose the hypocrisy.
it's a waste of time, taxpayer money, and circus act and takes away from what they (the politicians and government) need to be working on.

In Illinois or in Texas? One of the major political parties wouldn’t exist today if it wasn’t for “waste of time, taxpayer money and circus act” with all the audits of a settled election and regulating women’s reproductive systems.

That’s surprising, if only in the sense it gives so much leverage to the wife

Yea.

As far as wastes of time and taxpayer money go, the entire issue of abortion is little more than another act in the circus.

It was a female democrat who introduced the bill. She knew it wasn't going anywhere but wanted to make a point.

Oh!

Dead and Co played in Dallas last night and offered a bunch of pro-women merch at the show, then dedicated their whole first set to women.

I took two weeks off for Paternity leave when we had our last kid. What's wrong with that? It's called taking care of your baby. I would have taken 20 weeks if they would have given it to me.

It seems like some culture war on homosexuality would be inevitable, wouldn’t it?

I think that'll be a fringe thing.

The daddy-is-a-communist thing will stick though, and will be a cover for the actual homophobes.

Go figure, Mericans hate common ownership of the means of production even more than they hate the queers!
