Also, tomorrow, I should pull a couple celebrities from the plants, and officially start BLT season. I’m thinking sourdough first.

Haven't had a sandwich there in a long while but they used to make very good ones.
I hit breakfast once or twice a year (bread best part by far). Like post I just made, I’ll use their bread for my stuffs at home.

Pizza is decent in this area but if you drive up to Brooksville, about 2.5 hours from Portland, you'll have some of the best pizza you've ever tasted at Tinder Hearth.

It was named to NYT's top 50 restaurants of 2023.

Celebrities were my dad's favorite tomato. My plants are hanging in there but I may have to hit a farmer's market soon. Sourdough is always a good choice for BLTs.

Sourdough is the only bread I ever buy. Really good when it's right out of the baker's oven.

Today In: You don't really know someone until you cook for them.

My wife was a good cook. Recipe? Ha! And as if that weren't already obvious, within the first couple of months of our courtship she made lasagna. Lasagna was my ace in the hole. The one dish I felt confident about. (It was also pretty much my only card in the hole. but...) Her lasagna was much, much better than mine had ever been, so I told her that, never made mine, and she never bothered to make hers again, either.

Division of labor-she cooked, I cleaned up. I did any grilling or smoking, but that was only an occasional meal. A well oiled machine until ~ 24 years into it she got sick and I started trying to cook. It's not easy being a new cook for someone who is a good cook. And since she had always been in charge of cooking, it wasn't until then I discovered how persnickety she was. I'll spare you the other details, but to my enormous surprise after > two and a half decades of marriage, it turned out she didn't really care for sourdough bread. What?!

You don't really know someone until you cook for them.

Mrs 99 won't eat sourdough bread.

The real argument is Duke's or Hellmann's?

I've tried both, I prefer the Hellmann's that I grew up with. Probable would get me kicked out of Kentucky.

We learned earlier why you'd be willing to overlook her flaws, so she gets a pass.

I grew up on Miracle Whip and margarine, because they were alleged to be "healthier".

Now, I'm a Hellmann's guy.

Check out the cold weather warning.
To each their own but I would be more concerned with my mayo sitting on a truck for 2 or 3 days in 105 degree weather. Am I wrong for feeling that way?
