The rough part of the Chiefs likely going at worst 14-2 is that the Steelers are likely going 15-1.

In the year where there’s only one bye team.

I thought the 14 team playoff was only if a certain number of games are canceled?

Thought the Chiefs went way to conservative in the third and fourth quarters. They could have run that RPO action and scored at will against the Bucs. Near melt down and in the pre Mahomes years the Chiefs would have blown that in epic Chiefs fashions. With 15 that isn’t the case. Loved the aggressiveness on that last drive especially the third down call. Keep the ball in the best player on the planet hands and let him do his thing.

No, the 14 is set. It would go to 16 if there are too many cancelations.

Such a bad change. The format was absolutely perfect as it was.

The Chiefs just have the Dolphins and Saints as games against +.500 teams. The Steelers have the Ravens, Bills, Browns and Colts.

IF the Steelers and Chiefs finish tied, the tiebreakers are:

1) Head to head (doesn't apply)
2) conference win%: with the Steelers facing only AFC teams remaining, the Chiefs cannot lose this tiebreaker.
3) win % vs. Common opponents (max of 4): they have three common opponents in the Texans, the Ravens and the Bills and the Chiefs won all three of those games. If the Steelers lose to one of those remaining teams (still face Bills and Ravens) then the Chiefs win the tiebreaker. Chiefs fans win be cheering hard for Buffalo on 12/13. Chiefs cannot lose this tiebreaker.
4) Strength of Victory: Chiefs win this easily
5) Strength of Schedule: Chiefs win this easily

The Steelers have a shell of the Ravens.

Agreed. Bills, then Browns, then Colts then Ravens is how I'd rank the likelihood of a win over the Steelers in Pittsburgh's remaining games.

Yep. Pretty much echoes what I said in the game thread that the baton has already been passed from Brady to Mahomes. It's Patrick Mahomes' NFL now. Stay healthy and keep having guys work their contracts to keep the gang together and we could see an epic Chiefs era for the next decade rivaling what the Patriots have done with Brady.

Yes.
Like you said, Chiefs have to be big Bills fans.

Oh yeah. They haven’t yet added the 17th regular season game but did add the extra playoff games.

Not sure the home field advantage is even a thing this year.

The bye week? Maybe.

For the Chiefs the big thing coming down the home stretch is keep players healthy. If they keep everyone healthy and the defense picks it up down the stretch like last year they are the team to beat. Mahomie makes anything possible.

I'd argue that Dwayne Bowe > Sammy Watkins.
