This thing is almost 20 years old and still one of most magnificent settings for a concert on the planet earth. There is no better place to listen to a full orchestra and chorus play, Leoš Janáček - Glagolitic Mass. Decades from now my daughters will be coming to concerts here and remember me. No matter how many cool projects I work on, this will always be a top five.

What is this? I have seen them before and don't know what they are.

looks like its something to do with the irrigation system.

My guess would be perhaps adding fertilizer or chemicals to the irrigation?

maybe some sort of portable booster pump?

I dont know I'm just throwing out ideas.

I was just going to suggest asking TDub. I agree it's some kind of hydrant based on the water lines and inspection sticky on top.

On second look that may not be an irrigation line, it looks like it could be a port to the a water line.

So, my only other guess would be that it is definetely a portable pump of some sort....so its either pumping something into the system....

OR

Its pulling water out of the system maybe for water testing or some sort of monitoring to see what ms in the system.

and as Sparko mentioned (which I am just now noticing) the inspection tag suggests its the latter option and they are pulling water out to test/monitor.
