Looks like Josh Jackson was traded to Memphis... Phoenix basically gave him away.

Yep, a throw-in in a trade that was made to create cap space (partly to re-sign Oubre). 2 years after being a top-5 pick. Directly related to what jfish said a few days ago:

Too early to call it a done deal yet, but Josh certainly shows all the telltale signs of a highly talented and athletic player who will be undone by the company he keeps.

I never saw this until today and don't know if it was mentioned here but this was from a few weeks ago.

And even weirder that his baby mama is 41 years old.
"According to records in Maricopa County (Arizona) Family Court, Jackson, 22, and Lorena Villela, 41, have been locked in a bitter custody battle over paternity, child support, and other issues, reports the Arizona Republic. Villela says the infant appeared to be under the influence of marijuana after spending time at Jackson’s home, and she smelled the drug coming from his house when she picked up the child."

Is it the company he keeps or is it just him? These issues seem to follow him everywhere he goes.

Gets out of that trash heap that is the Suns but will Josh get as much of a chance in Memphis?
He’s got a prayer in Memphis.

I just laughed to myself when I thought what the Grizz P.R. statement is going to be.
"We welcome Josh Jackson to the family! Josh is coming off a year in which he ran away from police at a music festival after he had been arrested - and he was accused by his 41 (now 42?) year old baby Mama of getting his 5 month old daughter high on marijuana.
Josh played basketball at the University of Kansas where as a freshman he was accused of verbal violent threats against a Kansas women’s basketball player. In relation to that situation Josh kicked and damaged an automobile and was charged with misdemeanor property damage. Josh was also involved in a car accident that he hid from his coach - which was a factor in his being suspended. He backed in to a car and left the scene. Josh chose to play at the University of Kansas after his mother took a cash payment for him to play there. Josh is an excellent example of what we look for in a person and we are thrilled to have him on the team"!

Frank waived. Hopefully he can find a team where he can get minutes.
