Yup.
And there's also a difference between being a good singer and an artist.
Steve Perry has a way better voice than Tom Petty but Petty is a better artist.

Also, a female artist giving you a boner doesn’t make them a great artist.

Amy Winehouse is such a unique talent, too. I wonder how that meeting with the record exec went.

there's at least one live concert recording that I love. Think this is it:

Winehouse grew up in a musical family firmly rooted in jazz. Singing pop was not native to her talent; and I would argue is not native to talent these days. She had an impressive voice and could have conquered any genre with her grasp of pitch, harmony and theory. I had no idea how talented she was until too late. Wasted--in every way.

A lot of female artists have mimicked her sound.
