Yeah, seems pretty pointless to get it.

Over 100 fully vaccinated people contract COVID-19 in Washington state, officials say

geezus, do you read your own articles?
Out of the 1.2 million people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Washington, epidemiologists have reported evidence of 102 breakthrough cases in 18 counties since Feb. 1, representing less than 0.01% of all fully vaccinated individuals in the northwestern U.S. state. Most cases were patients who experienced only mild symptoms, if any, according to a press release from the Washington State Department of Health.

and this isn’t a new phenomena

it’s happened elsewhere...wisconsin (i think) most recently

still, nobody died and the efficacy/safety statistics originally cited hold true. 95% effective at preventing severe illness and hospitalization

Right. And who do you think they're getting the virus FROM...the ~80% who are currently unvaccinated would be my guess in the majority of cases.

I mean, they told us it was 95% effective and greatly reduces the severity...and that's exactly what we're seeing. It's working as promised (or better).

I'm guessing if 90% get vaccinated, that number drops into the single digits (less than 10). More people are more protected and the few who get sick are releasing smaller viral loads.

That article shows it's working.

In the 80s and 90s Republicans fought on the side of Big Tobacco, against Public Health. Eventually they lost.

In the 90s through 10s Republicans fought on the side of Big Pollution (mainly coal), against Public Health. They are losing.

In the 20s Republicans are fighting on the side of a Global Pandemic, against Public Health. They will lose.

Moral of the story: Republicans are against people’s well-being.

I'm wondering when it will be socially acceptable for those that are fully vaccinated to dispose of their mask collection? Say I am fully vaccinated by mid April. When will it be acceptable for me to live my life without my mask?
