I mean, different wide receivers. But Bowe led NFL WR in catches in 2010 with Matt freaking Cassel at QB. He was no slouch. Multiple 1,000 yard seasons. That was a awful answer.

Not the worst players I thought of, but my mind went straight to how good some really fast slot guys would look with him and how much different their careers would have been. Ted Ginn, Antwaan Randle El, Reggie Bush, etc. They're looking at big time numbers and several pro bowls.
And, not that Hill is any slouch in the area, but I'd love to see Mahomes work with the crispest route runners in the game like Thielen, Thomas or Diggs. They're pushing 25 TD's with Mahomes.

Oh my god, Thomas with Mahomes would be insane.

Or, in a less hypothetical and more realistic scenario, imagine had we drafted DK Metcalf instead of Mecole Hardman?

Metcalf is awesome and Metcalf with Mahomes is very awesome. But, I think Russ pulls pretty much everything out of him.

He would at least be equally as good with Mahomes as his QB.
Which is a future ( by future, I mean very possibly this season ) pro bowl WR.
Of course, statistically, he'd take a dip, as Metcalf is Seattle's best receiving weapon, and KC has both Tyreek and Kelce. But he'd still have so many yards and so many TD's.

I'd argue that Dwayne Bowe > Sammy Watkins.
Sammy can catch a football.

Sammy and Bowe have pretty close catch %'s - but Bowe didn't have Mahomes tossing dimes to help boost that %.
Bowe career:55.9%.
Sammy career:58.6%.
But I know you love you some Sammy, 99.

I do, I just remember Bowe dropping pass after pass.

Bowe dropped so many passes late in his career because he permanently messed up a finger and he wasn't able to catch balls with his hands anymore. Only body catches. Still some how got a final deal with the Browns. Go figure.
Derrick Alexander. Lake Dawson. Donnie Avery. Always thought that Mokeai could have been good with Mahomes. Jeez did the Chiefs have a lot of mediocre WRs.
The narrative has to stop that Hill is just a fast guy. His route running is right up there with all of those guys you mentioned.

Well, like I said, Hill is not a slouch at all in route running and said nothing of his speed. But, we'll just agree to disagree that I see him as a half notch below the several top guys whose film is used all across the country for coaching.

As far as route running I would also include Cole Beasley and Cooper Kupp. Thiel, Diggs and even Thomas might be better technical route runners because they don't have the speed to create separation that Cheetah does but I would still use his tape for technique especially for smaller guys who are playing the X, Y and Z position.

I think Hill is a perfect WR for Mahomes.
If I could trade for two WR's in the NFL right now to play in 3 sets with Tyreek who I think would completely break the NFL with Mahomes at the helm, one of them would be DK Metcalf. The other? Keenan Allen - who I think is very underrated and maybe the best route runner in the NFL.
( you could swap Davante Adams with Keenan and i'd be fine with that too )
( also not a candidate but if talking route running, don't forget Antonio Brown - not a good person but known for his route running )

Yes, I agree. I do think RZ TD's say a lot about WR technique. But, no way does Hill find himself so open a lot without being a great route runner.
And, my gosh, would Cooper Kupp be good with Mahomes.

I've always wondered what Tyler Lockett would have looked like for the Chiefs. I told friends that the Chiefs should have drafted him but had no idea he would become as good as he has.
Hell I would settle for Beasley but the Chiefs need one of those smaller, shifty guys to run in the slot ala Kupp and even Renfrow. Defending slot WRs is by far the hardest job in the NFL.

I'd argue that Dwayne Bowe > Sammy Watkins.
And he would excel with Mahomes, which was the question. The task wasn't "name the shittiest WR you can think of and pretend that Mahomes would magically transform him into an All Pro". Mahomes is awesome but he's not a damn wizard. You have to start at good to be transformed to great.
Shitty WRs don't excel under any QBs.

First of all, Bowe had one fluky year where he led the NFL in TDs, not receptions. He was 43 receptions short of the NFL leader in that season, which was one of his maybe two good year as a pro.
He's just an example of the bottom of the type of player that Mahomes could transform into great. Anyone worse than Bowe would just be what Watkins is now (when he actually plays), a nice third option. And honestly, looking at Bowe's stats, I dont think he is good enough to be made great by Mahomes. Probably need to up the bar.

This was basically the task if you replace All Pro with a player who would dominate.
