The current water situation certainly has me eyeballing our soon to be new home with an interest in reducing the amount of water needed to support it. There are a lot of low water need plants and designs that can be installed to replace water guzzling grass. I also want to learn more about rain barrels and how we could better reuse the water that runs through the gutters.

Holy cow! I thought I was over-watering my yard and I consume less than 6000 gallons per month! Of course my yard is less than 7000 sqft.

According to Billboard, the rapper shared that nobody should be made to “feel ashamed to be successful in a place that set up a system for us to be dead at 21… Y’all locked us out. Y’all created a system that, you know, doesn’t include us. We said fine. We went our alternate route. We created this music. We did our thing, you know, we hustle, we f—ing killed ourselves to get to this space. And, you know, now it’s like, you know, you know, ‘Eat the rich,’ and, man, we’re not stopping.”
Actually, Mr. Z, I don't think it's a matter of shaming you for being successful. Good for you!

If you do deserve shame, it's not cuz you were successful, it's that much of your success came from you glorifying the system for you to be dead at 21, and - worse yet - defending that system now; rather than using your wealth and influence to reform that system instead.

what next, he also thinks of himself as some kinda Malcolm X type?

It's weird that you just assume he is not doing anything to reform the system. He is a noted philanthropist and has done a ton of charitable work.

No clue where to put this...

https://mississippitoday.org/2022/09/13 ... e-welfare/

"Never-before-seen text messages show former Gov. Phil Bryant tried to shepherd a proposal to use welfare funds on the construction of a new volleyball stadium for retired NFL player Brett Favre – a project prosecutors have called a scheme to defraud the government. Bryant has previously denied any involvement with the project, which has emerged as the centerpiece of a massive criminal scandal in which prominent officials misspent or stole millions in welfare funds intended for the nation’s poorest residents."

alabama hyundai factory using child labor
A Reuters review of the records shows SMART has been assessed with at least $48,515 in OSHA penalties since 2013, and was most recently fined this year. OSHA inspections at SMART have documented violations including crush and amputation hazards at the factory.

The plant, whose website says it has the capacity to supply parts for up to 400,000 vehicles each year, has also had difficulties retaining labor to keep up with Hyundai's demand.

So it has cost them about 1-2 cents per vehicle over the last decade.....I wouldn't expect this practice to change any time soon.

Alabama Is Business Friendly!

Yeah but, Texas sends you a $25 Whataburger gift card to assist an amputee.

Potential for $100 there!
