Multiple things:

1. I'm not sure the Pats loose again in the regular season...at Colts would be tough but its Bill after a bye
2. The Pats have had a remarkable string of luck regarding their most difficult opponents rosters or scenarios. No Hunt or Chubb. No Henry, Brown, Julio. And they play at Buffalo, who is a much more prolific passing team with speed at both wideouts and a QB with maybe the best arm in the league, and the weather is 50 mph winds and snow.
3. Please pump the brakes on the Mac Jones hype train. He isn't a top 15 QB in the league yet. Your team is just so good at running the ball because of a dominant offensive line and your defense is the best in the league. He threw three passes last night for 19 yards ( lucky to complete two as his first needed a highlight catch ) and you beat the biggest threat in your division. Hes not the reason you are winning.
4. Bill Belichick is the GOAT.

Bill is one of those guys who is win at all costs. Rules meant to be broken. Would be so perfect in so many corporate roles. I wouldn’t want to work for a guy like that but you can’t deny his success.

i didn’t deny his success

but just like brady, his “greatness” is hella tainted because they cheated (multiple times)

same with Bonds/McGuire

same with Lance Armstrong even

it’s interesting that pro b-ball and soccer seem to have stayed relatively clean (at least nothing comes to mind…but it’s early)

Brady's success is not "hella tainted". Maybe Bill's is, but Brady is undeniably the GOAT.

Neither Bill nor Brady did ANYTHING even remotely comparable to Bonds/McGuire/Sosa/etc or Lance Armstrong.

Do you like Tom Brady? Just curious. It seems many people who dislike Brady want to overplay how "tainted" his legacy is because of deflate gate.

funny, you’re quick to point out Self and KU cheating, but just as quick to give brady a pass

I didn't give him a pass. But comparing him to Lance Armstrong is way over the top.

I have never said Self's legacy is "hella tainted" because of recruiting violations that are common practice in college basketball. Roy had recruiting violations at Kansas. Larry Brown had recruiting violations at Kansas. Nearly every great coach in the modern game has had recruiting violations.

Much like LeBron with some people, it seems you not being very fond of Tom Brad makes you a little irrational. The comparisons to all the steriod users is evidence of that irrationality. You compared him to Lance Armstrong who is maybe the greatest cheater of all time. Over an amount of air in a football that you or i wouldn't even be able to notice.

cheating is cheating

you can argue semantics all you want

i played qb when i was younger, and would definitely notice a deflated ball. quit making shit up

it’s fine if you don’t agree with me, but that’s no reason to fabricate a narrative to support your point

So is Self like Lance Armstrong too since cheating is cheating and it's all the same?

Lots of people touch the football during the game. Not just the QB. How come nobody noticed? Refs touch it on every single play. It was an insignificant amount of air more than likely.

I know back in the day you were you small towns Dan Marino, but stop with the silliness. Brady's legacy isn't "hella tainted". And certainly nothing like Lance Armstrong, Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, Sammy Sosa, etc.

All I know is what the Pats did to the Bills last night was impressive. They simply weren't going to throw. Bills knew it. Pats knew it. The whole stadium knew it. Bills put 10 guys within a yard of the LOS and they still couldn't stop it. They flat out 'big boy'd' the Bills.

Now all that being said I still have reservations. Mainly what happens if the Pats get down multiple scores and Mac has to be more than a game manager. He isn't there yet nor do I believe the Pats believe he is there yet.

What Self got caught doing is nothing like Lance Armstrong or steroid users.

Such a dumbass take.

they both cheated, and that’s in my mind whenever their greatness/legacy is mentioned

it’s not a dumbass take

i can still have much respect due their coaching/playing abilities and “they” can still be GOATs

but cheating is cheating

If anything, I think the game last night showed the Pats really are a threat to win the AFC this season. Belichick has them executing the game plans, which is always scary for the opponent.

And, just looking at the standings, raise your hand if you're a fan of an AFC team and feel good about going to Foxborough in January?
