But that's how you use small ball. To change things up, throw the other team off. It's like playing a zone, the other team isn't prepared for it. But it doesn't become your base set. If they game plan for small ball we just get outrebounded and give up layups. But it's great to use in spots.

Self went away from it as soon as they brought Feazell back in. He was worried about matching up with a big who scores 3ppg. I think that's dumb. Our run immediately stopped and Creighton came back.

You might be right that he gave up on it too quickly yesterday.

But that doesn't change how I feel about it. I think it's a great weapon to have in the arsenal. Self probably doesn't do it enough. Our base offense is our bread and butter though.

Oh, and back to the topic - I like game thread Doyel. It's like fasting on Yom Kippur - it's not pleasant, but it's tradition.

My beef with doyel....and why I'm forgiving of pdumb...is that he's relentless. There are times when he has like 10 outta the previous 12 posts...all negative. It can be exhausting

I don't know how he posts that fast and I swear he has a direct feed of the game or is seeing into the future.

we can br up by 40, playing lights out and the dude will find 7 different things to bitch about. it's absurd at times and, makes the game thread damn near unreadable.

Phd is the only poster on this board I genuinely don't care for. All he does is attack people. I have no problem with people disagreeing or giving me shit, but whenever someone else does it you can tell they at least have a sense of humor or want to actually have a conversation.
