That's actually a walk-back from the Buzzfeed story, but don't tell Kyle, K?
It wasn't even proposed. Geezer's buzzfeed tweet reads: "The Trump Organization planned to give a $50 million penthouse at Trump Tower Moscow to Vladimir Putin during the 2016 campaign."IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Mon Dec 03, 2018 10:16 am As long as there was nothing promised in return for a gift like that, is something like that even that unheard of for a country like Russia?
If nothing was promised in return, then is it even wrong?
Hell, at that time I don't think Trump, Putin, or anyone else even thought Trump had a snowballs chance in hell at beating Hillary.
No one has reported that it was or wasn't proposed. Assuming that it wasn't proposed simply because the story is only about it being discussed is as silly as assuming that it was.DCHawk1 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 03, 2018 10:22 amIt wasn't even proposed. This is patent bullshit. The ABC story confirms that this was hopeful daydreaming between two people associated with Trump. There was no "plan," and certainly the "Trump organization" was not involved.
All of which takes me back to my original post on the subject:
"What we actually learned today is bad enough. Pretending that it's even worse is just silly."

Maybe it was proposed and proof if that simply hasn't been found. The ABC reports that the liars claim it was only hopeful daydreaming. Everyone involved is and has been lying about everything. Assuming they are finally providing the whole truth is foolish.

Is there a report/article/interview out there somewhere that explicitly proves that someone did not make the offer of the Penthouse directly to a Russian official? Not releasing any proof of it at this time doesn't mean that it didn't happen. That's all I am saying.DCHawk1 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 03, 2018 4:43 pmIs English your second language?twocoach wrote: ↑Mon Dec 03, 2018 12:55 pmNo one has reported that it was or wasn't proposed.
