45 and 13 last night. Leading scorer (points ppg average) in the NBA.
Will he be the first Jayhawk NBA MVP since Wilt in 1968?

I think he deserves it.
Wish he’d stop talking about it though.

Won the scoring title.
Good consolation prize if he doesn't win MVP, which seems like a long shot if vegas MVP odds are correct.

Still don’t see how you can vote for Embiid over Jokic. Scoring title is a nice accomplishment though.

I wouldn't think it was crazy if Embiid was picked but I do think Jokic's case is better than his.

Just went to check odds and they've pulled the regular season MVP race it looks like. Which essentially means Jokic has it locked up, or maybe voting already started?
Last i looked Jokic was like -200ish and embiid was +300ish....nobody else even close.
But agree not sure Embiid has much of case against Jokic this year.

I almost feel bad for Trey Young. Basically zero chance to win MVP and the guy had the most points AND assists in the league this season.

What is weird is, I watch a lot of NBA, yet I never feel compelled to watch any Atlanta Hawks.
And, come to think of it, I can’t remember the last time I laid eyes on a Hawks fan.

Philly with the better record in the conference that is probably a little better top to bottom.
Also played so much of the season without his supposed Robin and kept them alive through that drama.

Good for him. If memory serves, he hasn't had anything quite like this before.

Yes. Took LeBron awhile for this too if my memory serves (the long 3 from sideline inbounds).
Jo has had so many last second fadeaways at the shot clock, so like LeBron, this seemed a matter of time.

They were struggling to get him the ball at times. They were running 2 or 3 guys at him and just living with the other guys beating them. It worked until it didn't. Tobias had a bunny he missed as time expired in regulation. Maxey kept taking dumb forced shots. And Harden fouled out, which they challenged and shouldn't have, because later Embiid got whistled for a foul that was a clean block but they couldn't challenge since the had already used it.
