RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: Sat Apr 29, 2023 5:43 am Steve Kerr is being exposed. For what, I don't know. What I do know (or at least strongly believe) is he has more talent than the guy he's coaching against. Have to admit as much I like the Warriors, I wouldn't mind seeing the Kings beat them.

On another note, if you lose by 1 or you lose by 100 it really doesn't matter. What does matter is when you lose in a series deciding game at it seems like the Grizz weren't prepared for it. My guess is Dillion Brooks didn't learn a valuable lesson. It's probably best to keep your mouth shut in regards to baiting superior players.
I am NOT a fan of the "play in" games. I am a fan of the Lakers, and if the Suns don't win the Championship, I hope the Lakers do.
Steve kerr is not being exposed lol horrible take.

Its just a classic match up of a young up and coming team trying to take down and old fading dynasty. The kings are loaded with talent and, if you've watched, they are the more athletic team
VGR!

I said, "For what, I don't know". Now tell me how that's a "horrible take"?

You might think the Warriors are an "old and fading dynasty" but that "old and fading dynasty" won the Championship last year and has guys in their 20s playing big minutes.

The Kings may be "loaded with talent" but I refuse to believe as a whole they have more "talent" than the Warriors.

Yes, I have watched. Yes, the Kings are seemingly more "athletic".
Maybe more "athletic" can and will beat more "skilled" in this series but as I say in regards to players being referred to as "athletic" and "athletes", the person currently known as Caitlyn Jenner was one of the best "athletes" in my lifetime. Meanwhile, the person currently known as Caitlyn Jenner would be the worst player on any MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, etc., team back when the person currently known as Caitlyn Jenner was one of the best "athletes" in the world.
What in the actual fuck lol

The warriors core is old and aging. And have played in 6 of the last 8 finals and had injuries mixed in there. It ain't gonna last forever. Last season they were hungry and wanted to prove they could still do it. But klay ain't been klay in a long time since those major injuries. Draymond is nowhere near as effective as he once was, his style of play ages poorly. And Steph just isn't quite as quick as he used to be. Wiggins missed a lot of time before the playoffs. And the other roll players just don't quite fit as well

I'm not sure if the kings will get the job done. But the kings have a ton of talent, are younger longer and more athletic. And the kings have a very skilled team themselves. Before the series I thought they would challenge the warriors but didn't think they were quite ready to beat them. The warriors do have a nice roster, but saying kerr is being exposed is just dumb lol. The west is good and there is a ton of parity and you're sleeping on the kings

I swear I have tried really hard to be a Ja Morant fan. I get that a player feels the need to do something other than just "shut up and dibble" to market themself but Ja seems really lost in regards to what he should and shouldn't be doing and what audience he is trying to cater himself to.

Which brings me to......
I don't know exactly why but this kind of rubs me the wrong way.

He and his old balls teammates aren't done yet.

Shame either the Warriors or Lakers will be done before the Western Finals.

Warriors gotta get rid of draymond and klay in the offseason tho lol. They just aren't worth the price tag

I assume they will "get rid" of them if they can and yeah, Klay had a terrible shooting game yesterday but......
FWIW (a hike across the Golden Gate Bridge and a stale watered down $17.28 beer someone gives you for free at the Chase Center?) Thompson had the best +/- out of any starter on the floor yesterday and without him in game 4 (and 5) they don't win the series. The guy shot 35.6% 3pt for the series. 41.2 for the regular season. Not bad at all.
Draymond is another story but you can't tell me his 21 points in game 5 didn't matter.

Warriors/Lakers will hopefully be "epic". Possibly the most exciting/desirable conference Semi Finals matchup in my lifetime.

On another note, the Knicks/Heat series is intriguing. Tough shooting day for both teams yesterday. Jimmy Butler, Jalen Brunson, and Josh Hart all went a combined 0-12 from 3pt range.
From what I read, the over/under on the game was 210 and in the last minute and a half of the game there were at least 5 missed Free Throw attempts. Final total was 209.

No Joel, little chance for the 6ers to beat the Celtics.

Denver/Phoenix - I liked the Suns before game 1. Now I like the Nuggets. Especially if Ayton continues to play defense with this type of effort.

The suns are pretenders. They have a couple big name offensive guys, but no defense rebounding and depth. Nuggets in 5

I wouldn't say "no" defense, rebounding, and bench but those 3 things may/can/will be a factor.
Maybe I'm crazy but I believe the Suns have the best quad (4 collective players) in the league in Durant, Paul, Booker, and Ayton. Is that enough? Seems maybe not.

Ayton and Paul are both offensively skill but severely overrated. Paul, all time great point guard, but hes really old and tiny. Total liability on defense. Ayton is just missing some competitiveness or effort, but has nice shooting touch for a 7 footer

Durant is getting old too. Booker is playing really well tho

But when your overall team defense, rebounding, and depth is subpar, its going to be really hard to make a playoff run, no matter how good your offense is. And the Nuggets are loaded

That's cherry picking.

Let's not forget......
LeBron has been to more Finals. +1 LeBron
LeBron never lost in the first round. +1 LeBron
LeBron is the all time scoring leader. +1 LeBron

I think this one might be stale but it's somewhat recent.

Love that you give Jordan credit for everything that happened for the bulls dynasty

While lebron carried multiple struggling franchises to championships

Completely different situations

Hate that it seems you are too ignorant to realize LeBron won championships with as much if not more talent than Jordan had on his teams when he won his championships.
