It’s not.
As far as how we handle it, we’d have a recount.
You know, just like the recount which is happening except that Trump wants to abandon the effort and just put his guys in power already.

or, as happened in 2000, the courts could determine the "winner" without a full recall

What if it's true?
How do we handle that typically?
by ignoring Trump.

Something I do frequently, and many others could greatly benefit from.

All of this does not make me very confident that, whether in 2020 or 2024, we have a White House (and a gang of puppeteers) that would graciously accept defeat and facilitate an orderly transition of power to a Democratic President-elect.

But you're assured that Florida's election system is not corrupt and that we have Democrats who will graciously accept defeat and not collude, say, with the intelligence bureaucracy to undermine an incoming president?
Interesting.

I said no such thing. I'm not sure, though, that the Republicans (of which I remain a registered one) get to claim the moral high ground on a day where, among other things, the leader of the party has, among other things, this to say:

Neither side quite seems to get the irony of the positions they've staked in this case.

The irony is interesting to talk about, I guess, but I think that rhetorical game sort of ignores the problem on the ground. And I don't think there's even weight right here, right now when it comes to the conduct and approach of both sides.

You seem to be under the misimpression that Trump knows anything at all about civics.

I'm saying it doesn't matter what he does or doesn't know; the damage on the ground is being done. Doesn't matter whether that's happening because of, or in spite of, Trump's influence.

I'd argue that greater damage is being done by the Florida officials who continue to violate the state constitution.

I was gonna hump the nfl protest thread for this one - bear in mind, the same potus throwing a tantrum about “disrespecting our military” doesn’t wanna bother to wait for the troop’s ballots to arrive from overseas.

The ARE not. But they WERE, which is why they lost here:
https://miami.cbslocal.com/2018/11/09/j ... s-request/
and here:
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4 ... ts-marking
Both violations of state records law, which was added to the state constitution in 1992.
