RIP to that defense. 3 years O/U before he gets canned or demoted?

According to posters on this board, that Littrell guy must be a real dumbass for hiring such a crappy coach to be his DC.

Does this mean that Littrell would have held onto Bowen as DC had he got/took the KU job last year?

We should wish him the best of luck. If he wasn't a good coach/play caller/developer of talent/recruiter, he was a Jayhawk and wanted the best for KU. He might not have had what it took to give that to the school, doesn't mean his heart wasn't in the right place. I don't have inside connections to know what was really happening behind the scenes. But from the outside watching for years I could never question his commitment to KU. Hopefully, his replacement has the same commitment to KU with as good or better skills as a coach/play caller/developer of talent/recruiter.
That all said, I think the new recruits will help and fill some voids and we all seem to appreciate the influx of a ton of new high school recruits.

Sounds like a new S&C coach will be in the works. Anyone got the scoop?

I’m hearing Franks to KU is looking more and more like a strong possibility. Could be other parts in the works as well.
Interesting on Woodfin. That one I had not heard. Not a member of Slant. Is it a he is leaving for a job’ or ‘KU is finding a replacement’ ?

Hearing same on Franks. Honestly greater than 50% chance I believe.
But I do wonder what’s going on with Woodfin. I think the guy they brought over from USC last year is good too, he could be a good replacement.

No Slant account either but the Journal-World is now saying he's leaving for a job at Mizzou. Woodfin was hired by Beaty so I guess it makes sense he'e move in eventually.

Yep. Kind of like Bowen. Good holdover guy. And who knows contract situation for Woodfin, but could be the same as Bowen. Contract up, previous holdover. Time to move on.

While our number 10 totals are horrible, it's funny seeing the number 5. Good coach coaches are under paid. Bad college coaches are over paid

I’m more of a Jim Wendler guy, but Rip is a giant in the strength and conditioning world for sure.

Rip is the guy who insists that strength is enhanced by strength training, that performance is enhanced by practice, that injuries are prevented by a combination of proper technique and luck, and that everything else is just bullshit.
He is the precise opposite of everyone and everything that dominate the "athletic performance" industry.

So you’re saying I should just go ahead and return that BOSU ball I got you for Christmas?

Woodfin was good. We would have been just fine if he stayed for 5+ more years.
But, as we've seen with the Hudy situation, there are a lot of good people out there.

Woodfin officially hired by Missouri.
I trust Les is going to find a good hire for this position. About as good of timing as you could possibly get, right when second semester starts and the workouts begin.
