Suggs hurt. Doesn’t look good. Huge blow for the Zags.

Holly said it was ankle and it's still TBD if he returns tonight.

Seems like that's a good scenario all things considered.

I agree its good for him and college basketball, but watching him move its a dumb decision for Few to let him back in this game.

5 thoughts for a Thursday morning......

1) Texas doing a good job of helping Shaka with hair keep his job.

2) Thank God Baylor won last night. I don't have to hear/read the bandwagon Illini fans this morning.

3) I didn't see the Suggs injury last night. Thankfully for him it went from what some were assuming was terrible to not too bad at all. Forgetting that, I haven't read much about it but it sure seems the Zags and the NCAA weren't really on the same page as far as Covid protocol and if so, fuck 'em both.

4) Is Joel Ntambwe Congolese for Silvio De Sousa?
https://www.espn.com/mens-college-baske ... al-reasons

5) Back to #3... KSU was supposed to play Butler on December 11th. The game has been postponed (or cancelled) and that decision was made about a week ago.
Why is Butler quarantining for 14+ days while teams such as Gonzaga are playing games a day after their players are testing positive? If I am not mistaken, I believe different conferences have different protocols and it's up to the conferences and not the NCAA to make Covid related decisions in relation to cancelations and postponements. Why?

You'd get a better SOS by not playing them compared to playing and beating them.

Ty Berry who played at Sunrise in Newton (and is the son of former KU Football player Tony Berry) had 15 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks, and an assist coming off the bench for Northwestern in his first game of his college career.

He's a really good player. Pretty good shooter and can get to the rim easily. Watched him play quite a bit. Big 12 schools weren't on good sanding with him outside of Oklahoma State. kstate had some heavy interest but he did not like return the interest. KU would have offered him if they didn't get Jossell and Harris, because they liked him and that's where he wanted to go. But it came down to Big 10 schools and Wichita State and he chose Northwestern. Minnesota was heavy on him too, but Northwestern with the academics and the better chance to play right away and I think he made a good choice.

Thanks for the info Newton!
I know that Bill (Self) and Tony (Berry) knew each other back in the mid 80s.
Perhaps my favorite KU player/s nickname/s belonged to the Berry Brothers (Tony and Derek - who passed away about 15 years ago) and were both Defensive Backs - they were known as the "CrunchBerrys".
