I didn't think it was this far along.
And it's a shame - I thought they had a good thing going in Seattle ( and is my 2nd favorite team ).
Would be nice for him to figure out how to stay - but i'd prefer him not going to the Raiders if he had to go somewhere - because i'd have to stop cheering for him.

"Russell Wilson's agent tells ESPN's Adam Schefter that he has not requested a trade, but that if he were dealt, he would waive his no-trade clause for the Cowboys, Saints, Raiders or Bears.

It's a trade request by another name. Various national media sources have taken great pains to report Wilson's relationship with coach Pete Carroll could still be patched up, but neither side is working very hard to tamp down the flames. This situation appears further along than Deshaun Watson's with Houston. Wilson has expressed discontent only to make up with Seattle before, but the odds he is dealt are very real, if not inevitable."

My worthless take. He stays a Seahawk.
Jerry and company screwed up the Dak situation but I feel they would be foolish to replace Dak with Russ.
The Saints still have Drew - today. If he doesn't retire, who starts? I believe Payton has said he's prepared to have Jameis start for them next season. Sure Russ is an upgrade but at what cost?
The Raiders need to figure out something. Not too sure why they wouldn't want to keep Carr and of course they have Mariota. They don't "need" Russ. If they sign J.J. then do/can they also sign Russ? I don't see how they could/would but I'm not a GM nor a guy who understands the salary situation/s.
The Bears will not get Russ because the Bears are the Bears.

This made me smile - and it shouldn't have because there is very little smile worthy about it.

Saints would be the best fit I think.
Raiders need Russ. You aren't winning a Super Bowl with Carr or Mariota.

The Redskins cut Alex Smith - which is kind of a bummer.
Rumor is he'll sign with the Jags, which would be interesting as a possible bridge to Lawrence.

Watt to Cardinals.

The NFC West is loaded.

2 years at $31M.

Think Chiefs could have made that work. But Veach had a presser today and Mathieu is likely to get an extension this offseason. I think both sides want it. Mathieu loves it in KC.

Veach also made it seem like the tentative plan is to have Fisher back and ready to go by mid-to-late August.

That would be a shocking recovery.

Could they have made it work? Probably. Who really knows how the salary cap works in the NFL. Did the Chiefs want to make that work? Probably not. Watt, is a great name but he just isn't the player he once was. That is a lot of money guaranteed for a guy who is really living more off his name than his production.

Chiefs have seemingly prioritized DL, OL and LB in this offseason and would prefer to do it via the draft and cheaper, team friendly deals.

I think W/R is a priority too, but I think there will be plenty of undrafted talent. Going to be interesting seeing the draft priorities play out. OL, OL, LB, DE, OL, corner if I were picking.

Extend Badger.
Cut Fisher.
I’m sorry I just can’t trust he comes back to form in time to be effective enough to justify his price tag. If there was an extension with a pay cut then, yes, do that.

Why is WR so far down the list?

Hill, Hardman and Pringle do it for you? They need to get someone in like round 3 at the latest.

Good mix of free agents available.
David Moore or Kendrick Bourne plz.

We all saw our OLine poop the bed.
Replace Okafor.
Our LB's suck.

( also anytime Hardman is brought up, here is my required 'shoulda drafted DK Metcalf' )
( also shouldn't have traded for Frank Clark, kept Ford, and drafted LJ Collier for 1/10th the cost, freeing up around 20M a season )

Kept Dee Ford who has played 12 games in the last 2 years and has 6 sacks compared to Clark's 15..?

Makes no sense.

WR has to be addressed either in FA or draft.

OL or DE will be the focus on first 2 picks. And good thing for Chiefs, those are 2 of the deepest positions of the draft this year.

You'd also have LJ Collier who had a better sophomore season than Frank Clark did this season.
And DK Metcalf opposite Hill.
Plus 15-20 million give or take to sign a starter or depth.

( think a guy like Clowney )

My worthless 2 cents.
Hill, Hardman, and Pringle (along with Kelce and Mahomes and two "elite" running backs) do it just fine for me.
Of course you can always improve your receiving and I would expect the Chiefs to look to do that but we're talking 3 WR who can be fantastic together and will always be a legit threat in which I feel teams will have a bitch of a time defending all 3 (especially with Kelce).
I would be thrilled if Hill, Hardman, and Pringle were the Bears top 3 WR - along with our mediocre TE, better than average but not by much RB, and unknown QB.

The next time Hardman runs a precise route correctly will be his first.

LOL at this WR talk.

Kelce, Hill, Hardman, Pringle, CEH is the best receiving group in the NFL.

Spend money elsewhere.

Oh I agree. OL and DE is the priority and it's not that close.

But you have 2 years for Hardman and Hill technically. Those are the only 2 WRs that are signed beyond 2021. Kelce can't be relied upon for 1,000 yards every year. They need a TE2.

But you have to fill the WR room with some more guys.
