That said, I have much bigger worries with this roster than McCormack.
Pretty spot on for both.

Would just hope for more consistency, but I wouldn't expect a big jump in raw stat production.

And we've already done this with him.

I think it is clear that, whatever Bill's offense has evolved to, it needs an aces lead guard to make it work.
Preferably two. I know it's not as easy as "rebuild some of the best teams KU has ever had" but Mario/Russ, Frank/Devonte, Devonte/Malik are really a model for how this is supposed to work.
Ty and Elijah were also nails for 2.5 months.
Yeah, at least Elijah waited until the Sweet 16 to completely shit himself.

By the way, the last three KU tourney games I saw in person were: KU/VCU, KU/Michigan, and KU/Nova. Fuck me right?

The offense was hard to watch all season. I think Harris is good and by the time he's a senior we're looking at a very good player, but not now and not next season either.

Agree. This was just a mess of a non-plan on offense. There were leaks late in the year that Bill was surprised Dotson stayed in the draft - really?

Agbaji has to be better. Braun has so much talent but no confidence. How many times did he turn down rhythm threes this season? He's way too good to pass on those. In the game tonight he passed on a catch and shoot only to settle for a horrendous looking stepback.

2012 Elijah only.

I was at UNI, but able to redeem myself with 2017 Purdue.

Yeah, I think for this roster to reach its full potential, it’s prob not running through Dave.

It’s prob with Dave playing something closer to a rich man’s Landen Lucas kinda role. But that also mean we’re running the team with quality guard play, and the thing about that is

The one he didn't take in the corner was absurd. If that's not the shot you're looking for, exactly what is?

Is there a thread for the toughest-to-take KU defeats in the Bill era? Because I'm solidly Northern Iowa.

I think that McCormack will take another step up and that Wilson will improve as well. I think Agbaji will get told at pre draft meetings to put up a thousand shots a day and go back to school for another year a la Svi. I think Braun will be better because honestly, how could he not get better? Harris will be genuinely fun to watch next year. And I think we'll pursue a transfer guard who can score.

Self (and he knows it and has practically said it) has had a very off year running this program. Through recruiting, development, X’s and O’s, you name it... He will cite Covid. Fine. We get it. But still...

When Braun is cocky as shit, he's good. And, then he will turn into the exact opposite personality in a heartbeat. Makes no sense.

Braun has to be a 6th man type next year. It’s a step back for him, but this team will be better off. That said, Self needs to have the right off-season for this to happen.
