San Francisco makes a lot of sense.

So does Minnesota for no other reason than I would be ecstatic if it somehow happened.

You only get so many years with your kids and Brady has already missed all of them.

He does have kids in like the 15-7 range. That's the peak age for them to really take off and do their thing. Maybe he'll want to join in on that and be a dad.

He's already proven he's the best, what else does he have to do?
“I don’t remember anything he said, but it was a very memorable speech.” Julian Wright on a speech Michael Jordan gave to a group he was in

"But don’t ever get it twisted, it’s Rock Chalk forever." MG

The retirement doesn't make all that much sense. He just had an MVP-caliber season--this is not a Manning/Favre situation. The only thing that matters at this point is legacy, and with the move to 17-game schedules, why wouldn't he want to ensure his all-time stats placements last even longer?
I think Brady cares more about winning than he does individual stats.

It's the way some people are cut. You can't keep yourself from scratching that itch.

I think it's worth noting that, athletes like golfers excepted, Brady seems to be the only active athlete from Gen X.

If so, you can't hate LeBron for what he's doing and be a fan of Brady.

Sorry Massholes.

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

He announces this during the March Madness bracket reveal, surprising nobody. He will accept nothing less than an ignominious retirement after getting crushed, unless there really is a script. . .

Don't think he should be coming back. Most likely losing three starters on OL. Think Tampa over the cap and have like 8 free agents. His contract only for like 10 million Tampa could try to pull some cap magic like the Saints and Brees but the future ugly in Tampa. Hope he gets sacked like 55 times.

He kinda had to - the new NFL year was something like 24 hours away.
