Granted, it was against UT Rio Grande Valley but Kalkbrenner is having a say already in who should be the leading candidate for NPOY.
49 pts. 11 reb. 2 ast. 3 blk.
Now someone please tell me why McDermott felt the need to play him 36 minutes.

You just told us why. Because he's trying to get his player NPOY honors. Both for the player and to help him recruit in the future.
The people who vote on NPOY don't watch every single game by every player. They look at per game averages and pay attention to the handful or marquee games that the player may be involved in.

False.
It's because it was only a 6 point game into the 2nd half. Creighton's terrible defense allowed UT-whatever to shoot 43%, hit 14 threes and grab 15 offensive boards and Creighton's offense kept it close by committing 15 turnovers.

Looks like Creighton was only up 5pts with under 3min to go.
Not sure why Gutter would wonder why their star played starter minutes.
I assumed, based on how he worded his question, that it was a blowout.

It's kinda crazy that Creighton took 55 shots and the other team took 77. That's a pretty alarming discrepancy although it looks like Creighton got to the free throw line a ton, wiping out a lot of FGAs.

Wtf....
That probably deserves a season long suspension and a visit from the police.
(no clue how recent that is)

lot for athletes in this Duke - UK game....Fast paced, a little sloppy and out of control at times
I think we can beat either of them, but they're both playing better/harder then we did tonight.
Duke has a light bench, but their top 7 are very talented. UK has talent but not much cohesiveness and very little in the way of set plays/coaching going on.

If you can pull Mualach away from the action, Dukes defense breaks down often. I expect Self can exploit that.

Not gonna lie. Cooper Flagg on a Bill Self coached KU team this season would have been outrageous. He is really freaking good.

Hats off to the KU S&C, Sports Med and Nutrition teams. We didn't have any cramping issues in our game in this same facility.
