A lot of what is going on is people with bad intentions using people like this who are clamoring to get followers to earn a living doing something they are passionate about. Why would he NOT believe what he was told by a person who had access to know the truth?
The desire to be the first to have news and for that news to be impactful and meaningful, drives a lot of people to cut corners such as attempting to verify important details from a 2nd confirmed source. They are so thirsty for access and for something that will go viral.
Hats off to the guy for posting this statement at least. Feels like he'll learn the lesson that needs to be learned. I doubt many others ever will.
Social media is a plague with no cure. I feel for my future grandchildren.
Not one bit surprised. I wish they would publish more about things such as this and that one of the major news networks actually takes the time to spend a few hours showing how these campaigns are orchestrated and how the info enters the US social media space. It could be dumbed down enough that most of America could get the picture.
Once you figure out the origin of it, you can track where they injected it and then identify all the unwitting MAGAphones that amplify it exponentially.
But Randy and JK still swear they aren't being duped. Just throw this on the mountain of evidence to the contrary and we're off to the next one.

What’s incredible is that otherwise fairly intelligent people fall for things that simply should NOT pass the initial smell test.

Really want your mind blown? Walk in to a house of worship and watch the "sheeple" eat up what is being told (and heck - taught) to them.
Don't get me wrong religious folks on here, ABSOLUTELY there are some good things that can (and at times do) come from people being religious, but there are a lot of not so good things, and one of those not so good things is how the brain is then trained in a manner in which people become gullible and easily manipulated in other facets of their life.
Yeah, I just said all that.

Any consequences for the active service person who put out false and misleading information? Were they authorized to do so? Who authorized it?

I dunno, but I’m sure the same ecosystem that rehabbed and enriched Rittenhouse can work its magic here.

I think see a pro-women bias in that nunnery. Now I know where Ophelia "Get thee" too-ed.
