Mondesi is the key to everything. If he hits, the lineup is really good. If he doesn't, then we have three zeroes at the bottom, and it's just so goddamned hard to generate consistent offense that way.

I think Isbell is going to be the RF. Dozier at 3rd. Dozier can go to RF and Alberto can play 2nd in a pinch.
Think Whit should stay at 2nd. Save his legs a bit.

That's sure what it sounds like, and I agree the right move. You just can't have a guy who literally gets the bat knocked out of his hands by major league pitching.

Nicky is a fine AAAA player. Good enough to be a utility infielder, but can't hit to be a mainstay in a lineup.
Lineup shaping up to be:
Whit 2nd
Bientendi LF
Mondesi SS
Santana 1B
Salvy C
Soler DH
Dozier 3B
Taylor CF
Isbel RF
That lineup will play.

I don't see a scenario where Mondesi is a bench/utility player here. If that's all you have for him, he's worth more to someone else than he is to you.
