Turns out, Lobs, there is a huge shortage of homes, in the millions across the U.S. inspired by the GOP bundle of joy in 2008. There actually aren't even enough contractors unless you live in a state like Texas where those big bad immigrants are keeping the economy going doing hard jobs Americans need done--and that does not include linking to conspiracy videos.

No Sparko. Do your homework on 2005-6 and you'll find there was a "shortage" in homes back then too. People were just buying and not selling because "homes always went up." Until they didn't of course and no one wanted to buy in 2009-2012 because the mania had collapsed. There will be plenty of inventory starting in 2022 when the foreclosures flood the market, especially in LA, Denver, Seattle, etc.

I heard a housing expert here in Texas talk about the real housing shortage of several million homes due to a lack of workers, zoning issues, and raw materials. Did not expect the market to turn much. Demand is at a high and expected to go higher still based on the rebounding Biden economy. I was bleak about the larger economy under the yam yeti, for good reason, but there is a lot going right now.
