His per is .5 less. It's almost entirely due to averaging less assists, which is reasonable to attribute to playing with a league leader in assists.
I like PER too. Nobody is tearing it down.

JR Smith is an amateur athlete....well if you consider college golf a sport...

I am actually surprised that this hasn't happened more often.
It's clearly been within the rules as we've seen many examples of former MLB system players playing different sports after realizing they won't make the show.

Surprise surprise. She pointed out the obvious (off the record in a non offensive way) and it got leaked and espn is canceling her for it. Gotta love cancel culture

The slow delay to it has been weird. Like they want to cancel her, but not have people realize she's being canceled.

Yeah thats exactly what I thought. They wanted to cancel her. But didn't want to be canceled for canceling her. Tried to slowly quietly sweep it under the rug

They intially took 1 thing from her, but not the jump (but then again it's the offseason so why bring in a new person then with the timing off). Now she gone.

I think you guys know I tend to come down on the side of the players (and not the owners) on stuff like this, but I’m confused here. What’s the “trick”?

Well he might not play. I have never heard of a hold-out before. Let's not assume that he is not a genius with a strategy and a box of Trix.

Well the tweet refers to the 76ers owner...somehow playing a "trick" by...enforcing SImmons' contract?
I'm ordinarily very much on the players' side on labor matters, but when you accept the stability and guaranteed money that comes with a long-term contract...yes, you
do lose the flexibility to basically go year to year!

Maybe it's just in the NFL, but if you sit out past a certain point then that year on your contract is void and not only do you lose the money, but also remain under contract for the same amount of years you were when you began sitting out. Pretty sure that's how it was when Le'Veon Bell was throwing his bitch fits in Pittsburgh, but NBA is probably different.

Why I'll never be a big Kawhi fan: he pouted and sat out on the Spurs for what I recall was almost the whole season.

Weren't they relating that to an injury though? Simmons would be a healthy player just saying I don't want to play. Seems like a perfect example of breaching a contract.

Kawhi was cleared.

If I had the choice between Hield or Russ on the Lakers, I'd choose Hield.
"The Los Angeles Lakers and Indiana Pacers have reportedly “reengaged” in trade discussions surrounding Buddy Hield, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
The Lakers have had interest in Hield since last summer, but they ultimately ended up landing Westbrook instead. Now, McMenamin says that the trade “would center around a Buddy Hield deal and could be a deal that could include Russell Westbrook..."

Unless the deal includes a dusgruntled hold out, the Lakers won't make the deal.

If I’m the Celtics, I back off trade talks for Durant. You’re possibly breaking your relationship with Jaylen Brown and he might be a better fit regardless.
Also you’re gonna loose Brown plus multiple firsts.

Didn't KD just call Boston fans racist?
Seems like a great fit/move. Let's break up the team that just went to the finals for a guy who is never happy.
