Back when I frequented the Chiefs Planet message board some user had complied the most DPIs for a QB and it was, of course, Brady and it was by a long shot. Those calls stretched back to his NE days.

You make a great point that he understands the rules and is willing to basically chuck it long and make the refs blow the whistle. I believe that some of that has to do with refs being intimated by the aura and persona that is Brady.

Kelce got mugged a couple times yesterday ( not that it mattered ) that, if it was Brady throwing to Gronk, every ref on the field would have tossed a flag.

I definitely believe there is QB skill involved in getting certain DPI calls.

Or, in the case of Carson Wentz, non-skill. He might be #2 considering his 15+ underthrown balls per game.

Never go full-sparko

I don't think it should have been PI ( v Kelce ).
But when Brady plays, things completely change.
That game last night was ridiculous.

So was the Super Bowl.

37 positive cases around the league today. On top of close to 20 late last week.

Omicron is a bitch served with holiday gatherings. If it is a milder variant that out-competes delta, maybe PhD will weigh in and forecast its course, but to me it seems like the end of the 1919 Flu.

The NBA is postponing games.
The NHL is postponing games.
I'm wondering if the NFL feels it can't afford to at this point of the season.

At what point do they decide to start treating it more like other viruses and letting players who aren't feeling sick play?

Probably when it isn’t Covid

My guess is not this season.
Now I'm going to ask you 3 questions.

1) How do you (and/or the NFL and NFLPA) define "aren't feeling sick" and do/would you expect players to be honest?

2) Do you realize that it was BOTH the powers that be in the NFL and the NFLPA who agreed to the current "protocols"?

3) Let's say you have an 18 year old daughter.
How would you feel about guys who are HIV positive but "aren't feeling sick" banging your daughter without using protection?

1. Unfortunately it seems that covid is something we will have to live with for the rest of our lives. At some point things are either too unsafe to do, or they're not.

2. Yes. And I think eventually they will put money over health and safety (like we have all chosen to do by not shutting the world down completely tbh).

3. I don't think covid and HIV are comparable.

(Disclaimer: i am not supporting them doing as such (stopping constant testing for people who don't "feel sick", but it'll happen eventually...they allow players to play with the flu, and while covid is way more deadly/contagious, it's not as if spreading the flu is exactly safe.)

1. Rest of my life? Possibly if not probably. Rest of your life? Doubtful.
It's "unsafe" to play in an NFL game regardless of Covid.
I don't know the answer to this - if a player decides he doesn't want to practice and/or play because he is afraid of getting Covid, is he fined by his team?

2. The NFL has pretty much always been about money over health and safety. I also wonder if/when the NFL will decide - fuck it in regards to Covid but my guess is it's not in the near future.

3. Definitely very different yet also similar in some ways. Both are viruses. Both were basically downplayed/ignored until they became pandemics. Both became extremely concerning once the public learned many people were dying of/with the virus. Both (like most viruses) involve people needing to adhere to guidelines and protocols to help prevent the spread. Both allegedly originated from animals and spread to humans. Both viruses can spread from people who don't know they are infected and have no known (to them) symptoms.

Covid and the flu are both respiratory viruses.

HIV is a sexually transmitted disease.

See the difference?

Snyder just keeps at it. What dirt does he have on Goodell? Can't believe the other owners haven't forced him to sell the team yet.

Browns had 8 positive cases yesterday. And then HC and Mayfield positive today. What a mess.
