Lol CNN. the network that is falling apart. ratings continue to plummet and plummet. we used to live in a world where networks would report the news and we would then figure out what to think of it. Nowadays networks like CNN report what they want you to think and then we have to try to figure out what actually happened.
Their last bit of credibility was lost during the BLM protests/riots last year when during a lockdown they encouraged everyone to ignore the same lockdown mandates they had insisted upon and to gather in mass for protests. and when some protests turned violent and destructive they made excuses for the riots and declared them "peaceful protests"
You’re a piece of work man. I’m really surprised you’re actually vaccinated. Does your family know?

This weekend, 80,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines will expire in Arkansas. There simply weren't enough people in the state willing to get their jab — even though cases and deaths from the delta variant are rising there at an alarming rate...

Yep they know. I got vaccinated because I am around a couple elderly family members in poor health. It might have been pointless to get vaccinated since we now know the vaccines do little to stop the transmission of covid and vaccinated people keep contracting it. Vaccines are statistically proven to help minimize the risk of symptoms (particularly death) of covid at least. But the thing is even without vaccination my odds of either not having any symptoms or only having mild symptoms are really really in my favor. same as every person

He's right in issuing that order. It's not like he is forbidding people from wearing masks. they still have every right to wear a mask if they choose to wear a mask. but seriously our children have missed going on 2 years of real education. let them have a normal childhood. there is no reason they cant. its time to move forward from this shitshow of failed policies and regulations. a virus is a virus. people get sick sometimes. deal with it. 2 weeks to flatten the curve ended well over a year ago
The only thing that has negatively impacted caliber of schooling in our district has been having teachers teach both in school students and online students. They should have has one teacher at each grade who taught the online kids so the in person teachers could be dedicated to the kids in person.
I fully expect that the kids will be masked again and so long as they either eliminate or separate online teaching, they will have a completely normal year.

...“You’ve had all the experts say look out for the delta variant or the lambda variant, well next it’ll be the Chi Omega variant or the Pi Kappa Psi variant. I got the Florida variant. I got the freedom variant. It affects the brain. It gets you to think for yourself where you don’t just surrender to the truth that they’re trying to create in corrupt big media.” Though ostensibly a joke, the remark comes on the same day that Florida, Gaetz’s home state and the one he represents, broke its record for most coronavirus cases recorded in a single day since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic...

Less than 0.001% of fully vaccinated Americans died after a Covid-19 breakthrough case, CDC data shows
https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/31/health/f ... index.html
Less than 0.004% of people fully vaccinated against Covid-19 experienced a breakthrough case resulting in hospitalization and less than 0.001% died from the disease, according to the latest data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The data highlights what leading health experts across the country have highlighted for months: Covid-19 vaccines are very effective at preventing serious illness and death from Covid-19 and are the country's best shot at slowing the pandemic down and avoiding further suffering.

Greg Abbott has had a rough year. The polls are not going to be kind when he’s up for re-election.

After 11Sep2001 we enacted additional sensible security measures to prevent a similar occurrence. Some may argue that there were measures which went a bit far (removing shoes) but for the most part we all complied/comply.
The jingoistic drummers (Freedom Fries) are the same ones now actively trying to undermine safety measures in the face of a crisis that has killed 150 times as many and is showing no signs of relenting.
Did they have the same “well there isn’t a huge likelihood of another airplane related incident so we’ll let people make their own decisions about bringing guns and box cutters on board. It’s all about FREEDOM” arguments then? WTF.

If people had any inkling the amount of personal privacy and freedom they handed over to the Patriot Act after 9/11, they'd feel like idiots at what they are protesting now.

Yes. That shouldve been protested harder. That was a power grab by an opportunistic governement
