Re: Chefs
Refs took 14 off the board, cost ‘Reek two TDs and put Rodgers back in the mix for MVP. Ah, first world problems.
When it comes to Denver they are so close yet so far away. Suck it, Horseface.

What’s with the chiefs “play the clock” or whatever?
Instead of this boring conservative “keep it close and hope our goat qb will pull it off down the stretch” bullshit, why not have your goat qb run the score up and blow out opponents?

They don't have the OL for that right now, honestly. Pat would get destroyed.

Re: Chefs
A lot from last night had to do with you are playing a divisional opponent who knows just about everything you are going to do and the Broncos have a pretty good defense - or they know how to match up with the Chiefs weaknesses. I've always looked at red zone and third down numbers to give me an idea on how a game went. Going back to the game in Denver the Chiefs were 0-8 on third down and last night they were 3-10. In the red zone the Chiefs were 0-4 last night and 3-6 in Denver. Those two stats say the Chiefs had no business winning last night but yet some how they did.
By this time the MO on the Chiefs hasn't changed. They have elite skill players, the best overall player in the NFL and an average offensive line. Defensively they are opportunistic, are much better on the back end and struggle against the run. No secrets. At times they can look flashy (Tampa Bay) or they can grind it out like they did last night. Far warning I have a feeling the game against the Chargers will look very similar to last night.

Re: Chefs
I have a friend who told me the Chiefs don't impress him as much this season as they did last season.
Well, sure - last season they won the Super Bowl and they haven't won the Super Bowl (yet) this season. Otherwise, what is less impressive?
Last season they were 8-4 after 12 games. This season they are 11-1. If I am not mistaken, they have scored more points this season in their first 12 games and they have given up less points.
What do the Chiefs need to do to be more "impressive" and what are people expecting? Perfection?
Heck, I figure there are 30 other teams in the NFL who would like to be the Chiefs right now.

Re: Chefs
The last two games were not nearly as close as they appeared—I hope the Chiefs coaches learn a lesson about reviews too. I was blithely waiting for a booth review on Hill’s first TD when in fact the booth was out for popcorn and Reid quick kicked it. I didn’t know you had to ask on potential scoring plays.
But the Chiefs were able to move the ball all night. Denver was Dilfering around wasting time like losers have been doing. Interestingly the Raiders were the only team to win and they went out to score early and often.

Kansas City Chiefs fans turning into KU basketball fans is really something to behold.

Hot take, the Saints are worse with Brees.
