Actually, it looks mostly like he’s putting the coal industry (and his own coffers) above his own constituents, as well as the whole country.

But this is what really matters to Joe Manchin

Manchin founded the private coal brokerage Enersystems in 1988 and still owns a big stake in the company, which his son currently runs.

I'm guessing Mark Kelly and Raphael Warnock are glad they aren't going to have to vote on that thing, and it's probably at least part of the reason Schumer isn't pushing it more. $3 trillion of new spending would make them easy to campaign against in their respective states.

sure. I'm not against paying my share via reasonable taxes. Although I think most of our taxes are fucking wasted on bearucratic bullshit and not funding what they are intended to fund.

Most of our taxes fund our military industrial complex. But it seems most people don’t know or don’t care, and just accept it as the cost of being ‘murica.

i would much rather pay for our great military. than pay for a child tax credit that goes to families making $200,000.00/year.

Our military does a lot of good things for our country. Provides jobs. Provides protection. Provides education.

And that justifies a blank check? It's absurd.

Does it? I was under the impression I would have to pay that back come tax time, but wasn't sure.

Edit: Google is a wonderful thing. I guess you keep it if you're an individual making $200,000 or household making $400,000. Where do you think the cutoff should be Mich?
