Unanswered question - Is the white guy a cop?
What would you have done if you witnessed this? I'm quick to say/ask why didn't anyone help the white guy but then I realize my pussy ass would have been too scared thinking that the kids might have a gun.
By the way - this took place outside the McDonalds on Chicago Avenue. A place I have been to - too many times.

Whether or not he's a cop, he IS a dumbass. Pulling his gun may have been justified/understandable, but what he does with it then shows that he has no idea what he's doing.

Which means I hope he's not a cop.

But wouldn't be surprised.

Well...for starters, he holds his weapon in one hand as he walks toward his attackers, which means he intends to intimidate them rather than defend himself AND would very much like one of those attackers to take that weapon from him. A gun is a distance-weapon. Walking at someone with it is not just pointless, but counterproductive.

Additionally, he raises the weapon and points it directly at his attackers (as he runs at them), which means he's awfully damn lucky that he didn't trip or hit a rock, in which case he could be looking at negligent homicide (or similar charges).

First part, yes. Dumb.
Second part, no. Not dumb.

There's nothing more infuriating than being on customer service with comcast (xfinity). 45 minutes of my life I can't get back.

Yeah...but you're wrong. Weapon should be raised but angled downward. Finger OFF the trigger.

Only reason to aim is to shoot.

If I just got attacked like that, and there are two of them, i'm pointing my weapon at them.

And again, you'd be lucky, in that situation, with adrenaline flowing and a little discombobulated, if you didn't accidentally put yourself in prison.

As soon as they were in a reasonable range away from me, yes.
But if they are steps away?
Nah.

And 99 times out of 100 you'd be fine.

But because of that other one time, that's not how you would be trained.

Which gets back to the main point: I'm glad the guy isn't a cop.
