That has to be the only reason. He has something on the NFL. He has to be forced to sell the team. Just has to.

Sneed will be with the team but he is out. Add Willie Gay Jr to the list as he is now out with COVID. Small chance Jones and Gordon could play with negative test results.
So now going into the biggest game of the year down two of our best defensive players with the biggest, Jones as questionable. Not ideal by any means but this is no different than playing Dallas without Cooper or GB without Rodgers.

Urban Meyer firing so predictable. Dude is a total clown.
You have to think Leftwich and Bieniemy are the top two targets for Jacksonville.

Dont know if he wants to go to the shit show that is Jacksonville but Josh McDaniels would be my pick with Trevor Lawrence.

Total fucking douche, a real asshole. I’d like to think he’ll never get another fb job, but I’d be fine with it if it’s UT, haha. His coaching was also terrible this season.
We want Leftwich in Minny though!

Guy thought he was hot shit.

Saban wasn't as bad, but it's fundamentally the same problem.
That rinky dink, slave owner college/high school shit doesn't work with professional players.

I'm not defending him. The guy is a complete douche bag.
That said, I figure it would be very hard for him (or anyone else who has had his success) not to think he was hot shit.
3 time NCAA champion. 12-3 in Bowl games. 187-32 as a college coach. 22-2 at Utah. 54-4 in the Big 10. Then he was paid between 9 and 12 million a season to coach an NFL team.
If I'm not mistaken, he may be owed close to an additional 50 million now that he's been fired.
So the bad joke is on who/m? I'd have to say Shad Kahn. Granted, he's worth about 10 billion so the money isn't going to hurt him but he went for what he thought was a Home Run hire and he got a guy who struck out looking at 3 pitches.

I actually like Khan. Seems like a good dude and made an easy decision here.
Definitely not the first person that Urban has fooled into thinking he was a good guy.

College ain't the NFL.
You can't act like you're hot shit right off the bat -- calling out all your coordinators and making them explain why they should keep their jobs.
Be more humble. Look at Kliff Kingsbury - he's made the transition well.

I'm surprised Khan allowed himself to get fooled. Poor due diligence or did he just not give a damn?

Probably got blinded for all the reasons you stated in your last post. The hire was popular with his fans at the time iirc. But now goes down as one of the worst in NFL history.

Espn making it seem like he had plenty of advice not to do it, but did it anyway because he fell for the Urban Meyer charm.

Mike here outlines it pretty well. But, he forgot what may have been the biggest locker room sin: they had no trust in Urban and Urban lied over and over that they did.

He also apparently kept playing other guys over Robinson, his best RB, just because he wanted to show he could, even when Trevor Lawrence was saying they needed Robinson on the field.

Bingo! He went out and got a "name" who was extremely successful - at the collegiate level.
Many if not most Jag fans had to like that.
Will be very interesting (to me) to see what Kahn does in the off season.

He didn't hire him to be a good guy. He hired him to win games and no one has won games at a higher rate than Meyer in modern ncaa football. But yeah, he obviously ignored a lot of red flags from people who were pretty open and vocal about not believing that Meyer would work out in the NFL.

I think in professional sports you can be a big enough asshole that will keep you from winning. The arrogance it takes to think everyone should and would bow down to you and that you could get away with anything.
