Her mugshot resembles someone I would want to have sex with - but would expect to decapitate me soon after.

Funny how this didn't make the Maris In The News on her website.

I did not see that.
That is not Mrs. 99. Mrs. 99 is more mature and has better (real) boobs.
You're welcome.

I'm relieved it's not, but they are.

Picked some Off the vine today! Put five in a brown bag in my pantry I’ll come back to Sunday AM.

One was just about perfect looking. Sliced it and sprinkled a little kosher salt on it. So good!

I grow all my stuff in pickle (food grade 5 gallon) buckets. 16 (x2) in total. All acquired for free. Only cost to build was 3 10’ pvc pipes I had cut into 20-24” sections, and a sleeve of solo cups for soil to sit in bottom bucket and anchor the irrigation process.

‘Double boiler’ type system, using capillary action to pull water up from roots from an ‘aquifer’ which is the bottom bucket. Was fun to build. Second year using this same soil, having added a single jumbo bag to the entirety of my soil from last year. It interesting to see the various ground cover and mushrooms sprout up in the older soil that wasn’t present last year. Nature is pretty cool to watch work.

Today's edition of WTF!!!!
For 10 minutes I was hearing an Air raid/weather siren going off in my hood.
Typically they are "tested" at 10:30am on Tuesdays. It's around 8:00am on a Saturday.
No airplanes nor weather conditions to be seen to warrant it. Then I heard police/fire truck/and ambulance sirens. What the hell is going on?!?!?!
People out and about and moving along as if nothing is happening. Huh????

Then......I went downstairs to walk around outside and try and figure out what is happening. Of course the siren noise stopped before I got outside. I asked a guy outside wearing a yellow construction vest if he knew what the fuck the siren was all about.
OVERTHINKING DUMBFUCK Gutter didn't differentiate and realize it's some type of construction noise that was going on in the garage across the street. Ok, but it was a sound that resembled an air raid/weather siren and the guys at our security desk agreed.
2 questions. 1) What the hell was it that they were doing that made that type of noise? 2) Were the two guys at our security desk and me the only three people who thought the noise was an air raid/weather siren?
The police/fire truck/ambulance sirens - those was for what happens way too often. A car accident on Lake Shore Drive.

GOSH DARN IT!!!! The fricking noise is back. It's loud, it's annoying, and I want it to stop!
So, I guess I am pretty much a siren on here today (and most days) in that I am being loud, annoying, and people probably want me to stop.

If/when I hit 10,000 posts on here, I am going to strongly consider deleting my account and creating a new one with the user name Siren.

WAY past time to get out of the apartment.
House music on the lake (north) or art festival in the Loop (south)?
I'll see which way my brain tells me to go when I get downstairs. Hopefully.

East is in the lake. West is not much - and warmer and muggier.
I went North. I did NOT hang out in house music land but I did make an appearance.

I made the wrong choice. Unless my choice was to go where it is cooler - temperature wise.

5 Gutterisms for the day 6/30/24

1. If you tell someone "I'll call you back in 10 minutes". THEN DO IT!!!!!

2. When you are crossing the street and you both see and hear an ambulance coming towards you - GET OUT OF THE FUCKING WAY!

3. If there is a Small Craft Advisory that states "conditions will be hazardous to small craft" - THEN DON'T OPERATE A SMALL CRAFT IF YOU ARE AN INEXPERIENCED BOATER!

4. If you leave or enter your apartment - DON'T SLAM YOUR DOOR!

5. If you tell people that there is going to be construction, and that there are going to be closures that will directly affect people because of the construction, and you tell those people specific dates the construction will take place, and then they don't do the construction on those dates, TELL PEOPLE WHAT THE NEW DATES WILL BE - OR THAT YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE NEW DATES ARE GOING TO BE BUT YOU WILL LET THEM KNOW WHEN YOU DO KNOW WHAT THE NEW DATES WILL BE!
