Happily cheered for KState in that game.
Hopefully they just punched their ticket to the big dance too.

If you think this is a gotcha for what I’ve been saying, then you have not comprehended what I’ve been saying.randylahey wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 9:50 pmUnathletic elmarkojfish26 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 11:18 amI will say this: if Elmarko is only as athletic as this year's tape, then I'm not sure his ceiling is even Elijah's best season.randylahey wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 11:07 am Fish if you don't think elmarko is athletic, then how do you find him to be such a big disappointment?

That not true. In the past few weeks he's shown some ability to defend and rebound physically from the guard position, and hit that little midrange numberDeletedUser wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 5:15 am Elmarko had a cool dunk and then sucked at everything else.
You know who else had cool dunks? Bryant Nash.
Oh, I know.randylahey wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 7:42 amThat not true. As a freshman elmarko already played more and put up better numbers than nash did even as a junior or senior
hey, at least a 5 12 upset is a common trope and won't be talked about for years....right?
Yeah, that's why I didn't buy Parrish saying earlier this week that we won't drop below 4 because one loss would be one game of 32 (or whatever). The problem is that other teams in the 4-6 seed line competition will pick up multiple Q1 wins this week, and we won't.
At this point, I only care because it would ruin one of the best remaining Bill facts.pdub wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 10:17 am Bracketology 5's:
BYU, San Diego State, Nevada, South Carolina
6's:
St Mary's, Clemson, Wisconsin, Washington St
First off, that's too low for St Mary's who just won their tournament...but I don't think they jump to a 4.
Clemson got bounced so they ain't going anywhere.
Wisconsin only has 4 quad 1 wins to our 7. I think if they made the finals of the B10 tourney they could jump us..They are 22nd to our 18th in NET.
Washington State is too low in NET. They ain't jumping.
Now the 5's.
BYU could honestly already be argued to be ahead of us. They beat us. They rank higher than we do in NET. They are just 1 quad win short. If they beat Tech today, they should be a 4 ahead of us.
San Diego State is just 1 spot behind us in NET. They only have 4 quad 1 wins. I think they'd need to win the Mountain West tourney.
Nevada is even further down NET but they have 6 quad 1 wins. I think they'd jump us if they win the Mountain West tourney.
South Carolina seems overseeded here with only 4 quad wins and being 50th in NET - but I guess they only have 6 losses. I think they'd have to at least win 2 in the SEC tournament to be in the discusion here.
Of the 4's there, I think we're the most vulnerable to drop...so I think it's kinda likely at least one of the above scenarios happens.
I'm more worried about an athletic team.pdub wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 10:35 am It matters because a decent 12 could fall to that spot.
Do you want to play Indiana State/Princeton in the first game or Samford?*
*even Samford would scare me a bit.
Give me UC Irvine or Charleston.
We don't want a good shooting 3 point team in the first round, i'll tell you that.
