I used to write a cartoon strip for the Kansan, I think it was called IOCARE.

i don’t disagree, but both the em and en dashes get used a ton in academic publishing

i agree about the em

i’m a fan of the en, personally

En dash is great - and it serves the same purpose as the em.
And I only need to press one key - this one - to get it work.

The street before mine, which should be 30 to 35 mph but is 25 and is littered with those weird looking neon yellow kid signs that say slow down, has been getting populated with more and more signs, ie Black Lives Matter, My Body My Choice and, worst of all of them, Be Nice.

I hate signs. It’s why I love Maines rule o no billboards.

But today, a house near the beginning of the street, ( or end ) put up a sign in the same black background and white font as Be Nice and it reads “A Sign”.

Love it.

I just got this like 5 minutes ago trying to post in the covered wagon challenge thread

Make a sign of it and put it in your yard.
That’ll really get people to change.
