Nothing wrong with defending your home or business. Koreans did this in LA during the 1992 riots when no police were available.

Was there ever a threat to their home or business in the first place?

They broke into a private gated community -- that's breaking in already.

Here's a good one. lol

If I'm living in a gated community and a crowd of people breaks down the gate and is standing on my property without my consent or invitation, I'm feeling pretty threatened.

I didn’t realize it was a gated community.

I never saw any protestors come any closer to their home than on the sidewalk though, either.

It’s not a gated community. It’s faux rich St. Louis folks in fake mansions on an eighth of an acre. I lived two blocks away for a few years and ran down that street all the time because it was flat, straight and no cars or people.

Likely the gate was at the end near Kingshighway which is a fake looking gate I’ve never seen closed. You can get onto that road from lindell without issue unless something has changed in the last few years.

In a world with homeowner's insurance, what's the reason to be SO protective of private property?

Had a hailstorm here not long ago, never occurred to me to fire off a couple rounds at the cloud.

Totally get your point. There are things that insurance can't replace, but most things can be replaced.

I don't think they were standing out there to protect their irreplaceable pictures or family items passed down thru the years. They could have done that standing inside....they were out there because they didn't like the protests and wanted to be assholes. Otherwise there was no need for untrained crimestopper "Karen" to be pointing a gun at people like that. She clearly had little to no firearm training based on how she was holding/pointing that gun at people.

Sometimes, you've got to protect yourself from the thugs when the government can't.

And sometimes you could just go inside and watch out your window as a group of people walk harmlessly past your property.

She has crazy eyes and a bunch of turd on her shirt. Add a gun in her hand, that's a bad trio.
