Loved Jimmy going for the lead. But couldn't hit it.

Going to be a boring finals. GS in 5.

Warriors in six.
Maybe seven.

Celts better than Dallas.

Too much passing by Tatum imo. Smart shouldn't have even had a chance to shoot 2 or 3 of those because the ball should have been in Tatum's hands and never left his hands.

Definitely. Still think GS will win easily. Just too good, and getting better by the day. And now they are rested.

GS opens as 3.5pt favorites for game 1.

I'm predicting the Celtics win by 5.
Not a bad guess.

As far as Illy discounting the Celtics' chances against the Warriors, that's probably not too Smart. Capital S pun intended.

I think the Celts would be easier to like if they didn't have Floppity Flop Smart whining about every stupid thing.

Celtics have a lot of versatility and defense. I think they are gonna play the warriors a lot tougher than most people are giving them credit for

I think they'll play them relatively close, especially in Boston. I just don't think they will be able to win very many games.

The Warriors have championship experience. And are playing their best basketball of the season. I expect Boston to steal 1 game in Boston. Play them close in another game or 2. And get beat by 10pts or more in 2 games. GS closes it out game 5 in The Bay.

Five thirty eight loves Boston:

Celtics haven’t gone into a series as dogs yet. They are dogs on this one. I hope it’s seven close games.

Interesting model.

On March 29th they gave the Celtics a 47% chance to make the finals and the Warriors an 8% chance to make the finals.

This works out as a win win now.

I've read that.
The correlation I think is minimal.

Yeah, they played a bunch of non-playoff teams in the regular season plus some playoff teams missing key players:
https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask?q=griz ... nt+2021-22

beat Toronto without Trent and Anunoby (Svi started fior crying out loud).
beat Dallas without Doncic
beat Miami without Adebayo
beat Sixers without Embiid or Simmons (pre-trade)
beat Clippers without George or Leonard
beat Warriors without Curry or Thompson or Green

But overall, I was pretty impressed with Memphis and their coaching staff. They seemed to be well coached and have a solid roster of guys who know their roles well.

I'm feeling it's inevitable a key player (or two or three) goes down with an injury and/or "protocol".
I hope I'm wrong and I also hope I'm wrong that the refs will be as bad in this series as they have been in others.

I would laugh if they played this on the video board in Boston and all the fans chanted it like "Luther".

Doesn't Golden State play that video before every game already? With the fans following it was a Luther-esque chant?

Be odd for Boston to do it as well.
