Sadly, most people are too dumb to recognize that Butker said nothing to warrant that kind of attack.
what’s sad is your unwillingness or inability to see just how many in this country absolutely detested butker’s sentiment
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

It wasn’t prescriptive for the entire population. He was speaking to and for Catholics.

I don’t agree with a lot of what he said, but I also have the ability to say, “Well, that’s his opinion,” and get on with my life. Not sure when people forgot how to do that.

It's his opinion.
She's also entitled to shitting on his opinion.
If he had been punished/suspended/cut I'd have been pissed...but that didnt' happen - people are just calling him out and that's fine and warranted.

Butker was so prescriptive for catholics he even criticized the Pope. LOL. His opinion, but that much hubris just toxic. Kickers can get into these little head game funks. Chiefs don't win without him last year. Or the year before. Wish he had better advisors.

That 59 yard knuckler. The 62-yarder. Lin Eliot.

I'd probably put him in my top 3. Based on last season.
Do you feel your comment is fact or is it your opinion?

I’d say close to fact based on his career.
He had an injury to start last season but the second half he was money.
I think he’s in the top 5 most accurate kickers ever, has the longest field goal in Super Bowl history and has hit a 62 yard field goal, of which not many kickers have.

You can bring him out there for 60 yard kicks and know you have a decent shot.

I disagree with every single thing Butker said in his speech.

But, he is one of the best kickers I have ever seen.

If he’s on any other team he’s being mocked incessantly here. The other part of my disdain towards sports these days (I’m sure it’s at least as much my change point of reference as is a sliding world view)

It’s be nice for some unity and harmony right about now. But, as with current definition, such is unrealistic.
