I also know that Trump hasn't given a single, solitary fuck about the suffering of millions and deaths of hundreds of thousands.

So I hope that people don't translate their own empathy and let it cloud their perception of who Trump is, regardless of whatever "man of the people" cloak he tries to wear coming out of this.

The thing is, not giving a single flip about the suffering is in of itself not the problematic part. His own misinformation, lies, and inaction caused the suffering. Along with tens of millions still out of work. Then steering the training into a double down strategy of herd immunity.

If he got his people on masks early, and took it all seriously, he would've saved tens of thousands of lives, and in all likelihood, not got sick himself. This is playing yourself.
