Considering how full of shit Trump has been about everything else, why should we believe him now when he says he has Covid?

I thought about this, and how this gives coverage on a few fronts:

1. He can now say he would have won the election, but for COVID, and that's his out without "losing"
2. Can make some B.S. excuse to try and monkey with election
3. Just general, "I'm not feeling well, I can't debate today."

However, I don't believe this, as this info was leaked out, and leaked slowly last night. Trump's team isn't savvy enough to properly leak something like this without being a flood. Also, there would've been a better lead up than just Hope Hicks got it, oh no, I got it. It would've been some sort of weird, "I met with the Chinese ambassador, and he was acting weird," instead of what actually happened.

I want to see how this affect his short game.

Mike Lee, positive. There has to be a cluster around the GOP. Lot of random people testing positive at same time. I don't think we know how far it got for at least a week. People wouldn't be testing positive yet. Also, probably pushes back the ACB hearings until after election, because 2 weeks from now is Oct 16, which means Oct 19 would be likely the earliest hearings could occur.

Kelly will win. McSally is a two-time loser and only got the seat because of McCain dying. She's not a good fit, and Kelly is a freaking astronaut. Issue is it will be hard to seat Kelly as soon as people are saying he can. I don't expect Kelly to be seated until about Jan 3.

I think we just need to hope that some lame duck senators come to their senses. I'm still not 100% convinced there will be an up and down vote on this.

Oh, Dems will flip 5-6 seats (CO, AZ, NC, ME, and like some of IA, MT, GAx2, AK). But Kelly is a special election, and can be seated as soon as November, while the rest will take their term over when the new Congress is sworn in on Jan 3.

Because when he got it he called it Covid-19. When everyone else gets it it's China Virus. So now to him it must be serious.

for most, the hands would naturally be a bit darker, as they are most exposed on a regular basis

It looks like Biden does not have it (thank goodness). I agree that it would be much worse if Biden gets it. Trump appears to be in pretty good shape.
