Rory with 3 birdies for the last 4 holes. Tied with DeShambo at -7 after 11 holes.

Rory collapse incoming. Poor guy just can't figure it out in majors. Lots of scar tissue.

If only DeShambo could keep it in the fairway...

If only Rory could make a 2' putt.

Yup. Got the 2 shot lead. Then bogey bogey.

Bryson playing to win. Rory playing not to lose.

Golf is hard. The mental edge matters so much.

Ok, no doubt Scheffler is a phänomenal golfer but.... It doesn't hurt when people basically help hand him a W.

WOW! Fucking asshole protesters trying to ruin the 18th hole.
Shame people didn't beat the living shit out of them.

Any real golfer knows, you don't quote your handicap because that changes based on the course rating/slope and which tees you play. Real golfers know their handicap index. It changes after each round you enter. I've been sucking (relatively), so I woke up today a 4.7

All this golf talk has ruined my work motivation, so this 12:24 tee time can't come soon enough.

Opposite of being GUTTERED = Having Cam Davis at 70-1 odds to win the Rocket Mortgage because Akshai Bhatia choked on 18.

Ugh.

I had Akshay pre tourney to win about $1,000.

Thankfully used a live boost on Cam Davis this morning to hedge and still turned a small profit for the tournament.

Guttered? 😉

Sorry! That's tough! I would have rather you won your $1000 than my winning $35. Yes, I bet a whopping 50 cents. :D

That's gambling.

I really wanted to bet on Cam Young this morning, because he's the most talented of the bunch. But he's a headcase and has some putting demons.

Rai has won overseas. And he's way underrated when on that side of the pond (might be a good time to put a top 20 bet on him for the open, if possible), but his driver was squirrelly today.

Akshay missed too many opportunities early in the round, and it cost him late.

I think I should stick to golf. Had Thompson at 22-1 odds before the Deere started (bet placed 7/3). Cashed out today when it was $19.24.

Cashed it out? Gotta let that ride!

Yes, it was only $1 I might have lost and $19 isn't going to change my life. But....
I figure 99 out of 100 times I would rather get a guaranteed 19X than risk getting back 22X my wager - but might lose my investment.
Yesterday I had a 4 team baseball parlay. I won the first 2 games. One of the 2 remaining legs was the Yankees. They were down 1-0 going in to the 8th. I could have cashed out and made 19 cents profit. I let it ride. Yankees lost. I lost my $2.40 "investment".

I know - Take it to the Sports Gambling thread!

Back to golf.
I'm not a fan of a course and tournament where the top 10 finishers score -28, -24, -24, -24, -23, -23, -21, -21, -21, -21.

Me either. But this is an off week, with many players already overseas preparing for the Scottish open and Open Championship.

I have played TPC Deere Run a few times. Very fun course. But it has relatively flat greens and isn't long, so the pros eat it up.

I meant to ask you (and anyone/everyone else) if you have played the course.
I have played very few rounds of golf in my life. Best course I played was here (see link below).
Played it once or twice or three times a year for many years. They actually had two courses on the same property. Fun times. Some cool people I met and hung out with there.
Chi Chi was the best. Super nice guy (when he was getting paid to be nice).

I’m on a role!
Had MacIntyre at 33-1.
Only negative is I had Scott at 55-1.
