Fear Street trilogy on Netflix is a clever homage to popular horror.
Fun if you're into classic horror movies like Scream/Halloween.

To me, Scream/Halloween isn't classic horror.
Gimme some Lon Cheney or Bela Lugosi.

imo, Halloween >>>> Scream
i’d also put it above Friday the 13th and the Nightmare on Elm Street series, and about equal to SOME of the Texas Chainsaws
Devil’s Rejects and House of 1,000 Corpses are my kinda jam
hell, even the Hills Have Eyes is decent

Fair.
But as we get older, Halloween, made what, over 40 years ago, is a classic to many people.
Scream is 20 years old.

Also, I was never a fan of the slasher movies, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, etc. I never saw the point.

They can be fun.
But also just so unrealistic.
This is Merica. Some dude in a goofy mask comes at you with a knife, dude’s getting shot.
The worst ones were Chucky. It’s a fucking doll, just drop kick the motherfucker!

Halloween (the original) is a classic. I'm also not a fan of the Friday the 13th movies or some of the other slasher type, more into paranormal stuff or demon possession. That shit gets in your head...lol.

I think the only scary movie I saw in theaters was the Grudge. Pretty spooky.
Speaking of scary movies, I also enjoyed those Wayans brothers flicks

Insidious is good
they should have stopped after the first Conjuring
the Annabelle series is much like Chucky...it’s a fucking doll for christ’s sake

Anyone see Magic? I think it came out in the 70s. Creepy ventriloquist doll comes to life.

The scariest movie I’ve seen is Asylum. Saw it when I was in high school in a sparsely filled theater. Never gathered enough courage to rewatch. Not a slasher film.

No, but I read a Goosebumps book with the same exact plot line.

It was actually a pretty good movie with Anthony Hopkins, Ann Margret and Burgess Meredith.
