It sucks for Godwin, but I don't see how you can outlaw that kind of hit. Unless you just want to legislate out defense altogether. Which, honestly, seems the way the league is going.

I don't disagree with what Brady said. He makes a good point. It is going to happen to Gronk. A guy that big really can be only brought down by the knees.
If I can't hit at the knees or the head that leaves me as a defender with a really small window to get a guy on the ground.

Exactly.
There are more lower body tackles because players are concerned about helmet to helmet calls.

The section about the free plays is astonishing. I wish Mahomes would get better at this.

I agree. Mahomes is really, really good at getting the defense to jump, but once he gets them offside, he just tries the riskiest throw possible because even if he throws a pick, it's not going to count.

Since 2008 though.
Mahomes has been playing for 4 seasons - give him another 9-10 seasons and he might have 15 TDs on free plays too.

Russ Wilson looks like he really wants out of Seattle.
People are saying Pittsburgh but that offensive line needs an overhaul.
New Orleans doesn't have a receiving core sans Kamara.
Giants are a shit show - Washington's management is in disarray - Jets are a combo of both.
Is Denver the best option since Elway can't draft QBs?

If I was him I would go to the Saints. Opportunity to work with a great offensive head coach and if they land Russ they can go find WR talent. Never know what you might get with Michael Thomas coming back.
Denver, has the most talent on their roster but they are going to be looking for a new HC and OC so maybe they would be able to cater that around Russ's preference.
Denver, IMO, will land someone from the Watson, Russ and Rodger pool.

Seahawks should let Russ go, he's one of the most overrated QB's in the NFL.

Seahawks should have traded Russ to the Bears when they could have.
Coincidently, look what came out about an hour ago.

I think he’s overrated but still a top 15 QB so that’s worth multiple draft picks for needy teams.

An older Alex Smith kind of trade.

Stafford deserves the Pro Bowl over Murray--Murrays injury should have cost him the spot.
4,142 yds, 35 tds, 10 int, 108 rating.
3,039 yds, 20 tds, 10 int, 105 rating.
Add in rushing and Murray gains 240 and 5 more TDs. 10 tds fewer. 800 yards fewer. Worse QB rating.
Huh?

I don't understand it either but what I do understand is that Murray is probably overrated while Stafford is probably underrated - by many people.

I probably should know this but dont the teams also have identical records?

Yes.
This is where it might get tricky for me. I don't know enough about the defenses each guy faced so I can't be a good judge of how much of a bearing that had/has on their success.

Probably a lot of common opponents.

I like Stafford but the Rams lost three games in a row and Stafford definitely not Pro-Bowl caliber in those games. There was some stuff of him being nicked up but those three games cost him.

You see Murrays last game?
Against Detroit?

LOL Nope. But since you brought it up that was a huge game which moved the Jags into first place.
The Jags travel to the Jets and could pretty much rap up first place this weekend. I was kinda worried when Jags fired Urban cause with him they were for sure in the running for first place every year.
So much fun messing with Jags fans.
