What I think happens:
Warriors come out on fire, Celtics go down too much, can’t come back.

What I want to and secretly think might happen:
Celtics steal game 2 very late.

If the Celtics win tonight are the Warriors in deep doo doo?
Strange thing is that I figure most people feel Curry/Thompson/Green give the Warriors the advantage as being the better TEAM but I'm thinking as a whole, the Celtics are the better TEAM.
Frankly, I hate when I don't care who wins/loses.

I wouldn't be shocked if Boston wins tonight and then drops the next two at home.

Which leads me to my 5 questions of/for the day.

1. The Warriors won last night. Wiggins had a better game 1 and they lost.
Moral of the story is what?

2. Here is a crazy stat, Tatum scored 28. Scored 9 more points that the next closest Celtics player.
Tatum had a plus/minus of minus 36. Next closest Celtics player had a minus 17.
Moral of the story is what?

3. Crazy related stat part two.
Wiggins +19, Looney +24, Curry +24, Porter +24, Thompson 0.
Moral of the story is what?

4. In Game 1 the Celtics went on a 48-18 run. In Game 2 the Warriors went on a 43-14 run.
Moral of the story is what?

5. Forgetting the Poole assist to himself, what else do you notice in this video and what is the moral of the story?

1. That basketball is a team sport and Wiggins is the 4th best player on their team.

2. That basketball is a team sport and Tatum played the most minutes on the Celtics and +/- is sometimes not a meaningful "stat".

3. That basketball is a team sport and +/- is sometimes not a meaningful "stat".

4. That basketball is a game of runs.

5. I notice that Poole wears short shorts.

1. Things happen
2. +/- is often a meaningless stat.
3. See my response to #2
4. Even good teams play poorly at times.
5. Every shot all the other players took went in too. Moral is NBA players are better shooters than I am and that’s one of many reasons why I am not and never have been an NBA player.

Anyone notice the Bill Self voice over on the crypto commercial? Joel walking down the street and Bill giving Bill advice.

I could cheer for the Celtics if they didn't have Marcus Smart; but they have Marcus Smart.

It has been an entertaining series so far though.

I like Wiggins but not Green and I like Tatum but not Smart. I like Wiggins more than Tatum and dislike Green less than Smart so I guess I'll cheer for the Warriors. Mostly, I'd just like to see well played, competitive games.

"I think" I may be wrong. Maybe the Celtics don't have the better TEAM.
I have been known to say NBA Head Coaches don't really do a whole lot during a game but.... I do feel the better ones (such as Kerr and Dok - see what I did there? ;) know what the f they are doing and actually can/do have some bearing on their teams performance and production (and lack of production). Clearly "adjustments" are being and will continue to be made. The chess game analogy isn't a bad one.

At this moment, I figure advantage Warriors but I sure am not counting the Celtics out.

The stop in Utah was just to build up his resume so he could be the next head coach at Mizzou when it opens up again.

Leave Utah for Duke? Maybe. I don't think Scheyer will fail though. So maybe he's got a better NBA team he's interested in moving to.

I think the leave has to do with him knowing they are about to blow the team up and rebuild. Gobert and Mitchell hate each other and it doesn't sound like the locker room is behind one or the other. I think the only way they can avoid a complete rebuild is to do a sign and trade with Phoenix with Gobert for Ayton, since he seems even less likely to play for the Suns again than Gobert and Mitchell are to team up again.
