There are legitimate questions and there are WokeGotcha questions. The former require an answer; the latter get the response they deserve.
Why is trying to get someone ( someone who is a candidate to be VP ) to admit that Trump lost the 2020 election a WokeGotcha question?
It seems to me it is an extremely important question tied to our Democracy.
Because it is a thinly-veiled ploy to shift the focus to that issue - one that is emotionally-charged and volatile - and away from the subject matter at hand. They know Tampon Tim can't win on substance, so they're going to get people riled up about the 2020 election.
When are you going to call out Vance for the following lies?

- saying he never supported a national abortion ban (he did)

- saying that American energy production is down (it’s at record highs)

- saying that we had a peaceful transfer of power in 2020 (as if I didn't watch Jan. 6th with my own two eyes)

That's so weak and corny. Come on. It is FAR more important that people running for the office of President and Vice President of the United States respect the results of the election for that exact same position than it is for someone to have an accurate detailing of their travel itinerary down to the month in 1989 for things done that have nothing to do with the job they are running for now.

The stupid shit you spew on a daily basis is really quite incredible. You're now using "woke" to just mean "anything that makes a Republican look bad".
My answer is in a response to PDub. And, no, I would define "woke" as any attempt to put hurt feelings and threatened ideology before the good of the country.
You're so full of shit. It's sad that I even have to point out that voting for the guy who rallied an insurrection attempt and continues to lie about the results of the election 4 years later is the very definition of putting hurt feelings before the good of the country. Trump's tiny ego just cannot handle that he was fired.

Let's say, after loosing to Gonzaga last season, Bill Self immediately came out and said, "we didn't loose."
Then he told all the fans at Kansas, "look at this video of this official, here he is counting some money in his wallet before the game, and guess who else was in the building that day? Mark Few!!!!" and then held press conference after press conference saying, "KU didn't loose. Gonzaga lost. Our win was stolen from us. And we need to fight for that win!" And then he tried calling members of the NCAA trying to see if he could get the game results thrown out. And then, after he was inevitably fired for all of this, goes to his next potential coaching job and one of the questions from the AD is, "so do you still think Kansas beat Gonzaga?"

Would that be a WokeGotcha?

Did you watch the debate?
Walz talked plenty of substance. He addressed the questions directly. He provided examples.
( also your nickname for him just demeans you even more )

And the focus SHOULD be on that issue! Certainly enough for a 5 minute segment!

It's how our election process works - it's the core process of choosing our leader.
If I was interviewing a candidate to be a cartographer and I asked him if the world was flat and he wouldn't answer, well, we have an issue. Acknowledging the world being spherical isn't THE single most important thing of being a cartographer but it's pretty damn important.
I disagree with the foundation of your premise, and I think the analogy is invalid. We're not going to see eye to eye on this matter, which I think we both knew already.

There is no proof the election was "stolen".
There has been countless hours put into confirming this even when it was already clear.
The analogy is very valid.

But validity is not your ( or your candidate's ) strong suit, clearly.

Vance has always maintained that abortion rights should be a State issue. Giggles et al keep trying to frame that as a national ban, but that doesn't make it true.

Brandon signed legislation on day one to knock the legs out from under the energy production initiatives implemented by Trump. Things could be exponentially better had he not done so.

January 6th was (mostly) a creation of the Deep State media. And if the election hadn't been stolen in the first place, the handful of knuckleheads that did cause problems wouldn't have been a problem. And, again, none of that is Trump's fault, no matter how hard you try to spin it.

Jan. 6th was a creation of the MAGA-stream media and fanned by Trump, polluting MAGA followers with delusions of crimes that were not happening to the point where they were driven to break the law in an attempt to save a country that they were really just attacking for not giving them what they wanted.

The election wasn't stolen, it just didn't end the way you wanted. What you and MAGA morons are doing is just throwing adult temper tantrums for years on end. And it was 100% primed and fed by Trump and his sycophants.

And here us Vance saying he wanted a nationwide ban in abortion less than 2 years ago. Once again, you are a liar.

And spin me a fun story about how the Keystone CL pipeline would have affected US gas production by carrying CANADIAN oil to the US.

The analogy is very valid.

But validity is not your ( or your candidate's ) strong suit, clearly.

It's not at all.
Because there was actual proof of academic fraud in the UNC case -- the NCAA just didn't have any power ( or didn't want to bite the hand that feeds them/wake the bear ) to rule on the case. In fact, the AP had plenty of smoke where there was fire but they clearly couldn't force a judgement.

Several independent organizations, including the AP ( no, it's not a puppet of the Democrats or the Deep State ) did exhaustive digging into the claims of voter fraud -- no evidence was found. On top of that, firms that DONALD TRUMP HIRED to investigate, all came out and said all claims were false. Were those firms part of the DEEP STATE?!

So no, your analogy sucks, much like you.

UNC also investigated before that and FOUND WRONG DOING.

Why not? It seems to be exactly what you're doing. You're perfectly fine declaring Trump to be a "fit candidate" despite the fact that he is an ignorant racist, rapist, scumbag who is only supported by other world leaders who are also scumbags because you don't like the other candidate.
